Using Final Fantasy Music for a Final Fantasy type game?
Copyright is a sticky situation these days. Some Starcraft 2 custom maps got pulled down because of it.
Barcraft removed from SC2 arcade
Although,
I don't see any reason why copyright holders would go after a non-commercial game - provided you give credit to them.

Enemies - level scaling?
Enemies - level scaling?
Hi everyone. A quick question:
Is it possible to have the level of enemies scale with the level of your character (or the average level of the party)?
Eg, When the protagonist levels up from level 1 to level 2, the slime monsters that the player encounters will also be at level 2 (with its associated stat increases).
At the very least, how can you adjust the stats of monsters depending on the protagonist's level?
And a sub-topic that is related to the first question:
If it can be done, can this level scaling be used to 'unlock' abilities for monsters?
Eg, A level 1 slime will not have any special abilities, but a level 5 slime will have access to the 'body slam' skill, a level 8 slime will also be able to use the 'weaken' ability, a level 12 slime will also have the 'absorb' ability. Using this example, how do you add conditions to check the level of the player and to prevent the slime from using the 'absorb' ability when the protagonist's level is less than 12?
