YM is of Pakistani origin so obviously he is going to be more used to seeing Middle-Eastern and / or southern Asian people than black folk, and this is the assumption he is going to (quite rightly) make when he sees an anime person (i.e. no distinguishing features - remember what this topic is about) with a mid-brown skin tone.
So, wait, you're arguing black vs. brown now? Forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference? It sounds like a semantics argument.
