haha I don't know much about Dr Who, so I searched for actors who played him. The very first guy looks even older than this new bloke!

Most of the Doctors did a decent job portraying the character so I figure we should give him a chance to impress rather than make judgement right away.

(The way a friend of mine did when I showed her that Benebumble Cumberdict played Sherlock. She said she couldn't see him playing the character correctly and that he looked weird. I had to prove her wrong and she's now a fan. XD )

I'm p excited about him being the Doctor! Since he's the first "old" one I'll see in action :D (still...haven't...watched the Old Who....OTL)

Also Hugh Laurie would feel weird anyway, being famous with "House" and people associating him with it.

Yeah, though Hugh Laurie would be interesting, I'd always be expecting snarky comments from him. Some roles just stick with certain actors forever.
