YES! The mode 7 in this game was a major selling point for me, so I'm glad to hear its making a return.

Hehe, yea I actually thought the game didn't look right without Mode 7, but NOW so far it looks much better in part 2.

UPDATE FOR PART 2:

So, just letting you guys know, Mode 7 is still being used, with now moving multi-layer backgrounds..it does look pretty cool, to be honest.
Screenshots will be shown in due time.

Thanks for your feedback mate, I appreciate it, the 1st issue I was using the fullscreen++ script, hence the black border. F5 adds / removes the border and F6 re-sizes the play screen (can be done 3 times )...unfortunately, it's not actual fullscreen as it helps the game's frames per second balancing.
As for the 2nd issue taken into consideration as I will have to stop all interaction as the cutscene is on, so yes, I'm glad you pointed that one out to me.

As for part 2, I have started progress and will change add/remove a few scripts. (maybe the fullscreen++ will be replaced)

I'm glad you're enjoying the game friend and I will make sure to improve on bugs and glitches for part 2.

UPDATE FOR PART 2:

*Augmentation for "Artifact" Weapons has been implemented, you can infuse weapons with augmenting stones to enhance the user's stats, eg: Attack power, Agility, Luck..and so on.

*Combo Abilities can now be done by Sonic and Tails that requires quick timed event as well as quick timed events for abilities same as part 1.

Just a quick update, part 2 will be started in two weeks, I am contemplating in buying RPG Maker MV to start using that engine because I like the demo. More info coming soon.

How do you STOP picture moving when players avatar has stopped moving?

The event makes it look like you are showing a picture, not a parallax.
They are different things.

If you want to see the parallax, you need to put the file in that folder. Then in map options show parallax. Unless you mean picture.

Edit:

Also shouldn't the image be shown whether the player is moving or not. Because as it is the image will only first appear when the player first presses the button.

Better option is to scroll screen 1 time perhaps.




Yea I see where I went wrong there, Yes I want to picture to move with the camera preferably, but your solution is better, I'll try to sort it out, thanks. :)

Hi as the title says, I am trying to create moving parallaxing picture backgrounds, I have done the variable I created for the picture, but I don't know how to stop the picture from moving when the avatar (player) stops moving.

This is how I have done to event.

UPDATE:

*Part two will be in development in September.

ADDED FEATURES:
Only three are already on my list to put in part two.

*Characters main signature weapons will have stat "Augmentations" eg: more Attack,
Agility by using socketing with augment gems.
*Each character will have a "skill" tree to gain skills via skill points distributed
by leveling up and other "secret" ways.
*Enemy animated battlers.
