Cool, just one thing; please try not to jack too many things from FFD. In the older releases, there's a lot of files that I didn't label as being original resources and stuff. In the newer upcoming ones, I made a valiant attempt to label what's usable and what should be left alone (there's tons of stuff I have no claim to, and a surprising amount of things I put together on my own or with Paul). If you have any questions about anything, though, just PM me or Paul (janussenpre). Happy to help sort it out.

Also saw your topic about the animation issues in VE Animated Battle, too. Saw that the code you pasted from it was actually taken right out of FFD. Not a big deal for the row stuff, but I wrote all of the action poses in there myself that weren't default, so please do not steal them (that's a request, not an accusation). Learn from them, of course, though! I tried to use a lot of what the script offers in a bunch of action poses I wrote, so it shouldn't be too hard to pick up on how to write some cool stuff on your own.

Other than that, if you need any help with using those VE scripts, I'm very familiar with how they work so drop me a line. Paul and I are super busy doing FFD stuff, but I can definitely take a few minutes to answer questions about the VE stuff. I know the documentation available on his work is shoddy, at best.


Sorry about that Will. FFD really helped me understand how to use the VE script. I want to thank you for that, I was planning on giving FFD credit though. That would be awesome if you could help me with questions. I am having a hard time getting the limit break to show up, I know you did it with FFD. Maybe you could help me out with that? I want to do Cloud's Braver.

That's the background (parallax thing) I was thinking about removing it and adding a roof instead with smoke pipes, etc. But I thought we wanted to try it with in game parallx (half and half). I mean if it looks weird I can change it, lol.

I know I haven't had a chance to do much to help yet, but I was invested in the FF7 demake project. Now I'm not so sure. I'd like to think that I can rely on you to not flake out and disappear or switch projects before I commit to anything...

Max, I am still working on it, I will upload the beginning soon so you can see it. They're both final fantasy games so it will still help me develop both games. Also my girl friend is working on an art for me to use for the beginning of the game.

This is a better idea than demaking Final Fantasy 7. I mean, it's actually possible for starters. If you can mimic everything to a tee it would be interesting.

Thanks Pizza, I think it would be very interesting. Making those bosses play like the game would be pretty cool.

I have been working on FF7 and made the first scene fight, and a few character movement, but than I got a new idea. I wanted to work on a game that involves fighting all the super bosses in final fantasy history with the help of all the job classes, and final fantasy main characters.

The begnning will start by allowing you to choose characters from the 6 starting class: warrior, red, white, and black mage, thief , and monk. You can make a party of 4 like the original final fantasy and name them. After you finish selecting, and naming your characters you'll start at a room full of options that will allow you to fight in a colosseum, play the card game, fight bosses in succession without resting, train, buy weapons, magic and items and much more. The game will not have a story line, and if your characters dies, they're dead forever except for the main characters such as Cloud, Squall, Cecil, etc. In order to gain more party members you can buy more of them by hiring them. Classes will get unlocked such as ninja, dragoon, ranger, by defeating an amount of enemies, winning card matches, and other unnamed ways.

I will do my best to mimic the way bosses fight in the final fantasy franchise, but if someone loves to make monster fights, please feel free to offer a helping hand. The first super-boss that I am working on is Warmech.

I would still like your help though, like when it comes to doing Cloud's braver, or the other characters limit breaks, etc. I am learning little by little. Would you like to make the tag for Cloud's Braver?
