Oh. So if he managed to get some form of Windows working on his Mac, does this mean he managed to bypass these lockout gears? Or does the fact that Windows cannot function properly mean that the lockout gears are in effect?

Ahh that makes much sense. Two desktops, one computer. So basically something is wrong with his WINDOWS OS; it has nothing to do with the fact that his actual computer was made by Apple. Most ironic, given where this thread originated.

Umm it's called something like "Parallels Desktop." He's calling it a "partition" rather than an emulator, if that means anything.

Hey thanks for replying, guys.
The error he gets is that "Windows is not updated. Please click here for downloads." However, apparently following his onscreen instructions and downloading updates doesn't solve anything, and the message pops up again. Apparently he has had this problem with other programs other than RPGmaker. I know this is probably the wrong forum, but does anybody have any hints?

Mac Compatibility
I was recommending a game to a friend, and he seems to be having trouble running this game on his computer. The game is Alter A.I.L.A Genesis made on RPG Maker 2003. He has a Mac, and this game does not work on the Mac nor the Windows emulator on the Mac. When he tries to run the game on his Mac OS, he gets the error message "the contents of the file RPG_RT.exe cannot be extracted" which is weird because you don't extract exe files, you run them. Have there been known issues with Mac compatibility with RPGmaker games? Are there any solutions that anybody can think of?

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords
How much HP is the Lich suppose to have? I have been fighting it for at least half an hour, doing around 10,000 damage per turn for the last 5 minutes?

Figured it out. After putting up a fight against the Lich with infinite HP, Castoth was a piece of cake.
Final remarks for any future writing you do: work on your dialogue and characterization. The content and ideas are there, but honestly, when the characters were talking, it felt like one person was talking to himself six different times. A little more personality to differentiate the characters would be cool.

The change in music huh? I noticed it. Also when the screen flashes with red fog. And those random character sprites and when a door leads to the outside. "Follow the note you find later...." Huh? Dammit all three choices could be clues, knowing you. Argh gotta find him again.

Did it. It wasn't that hard. Once you know the solution to the riddle, it expands your mind and you will never fall for similar riddles. And holy shit indeed. What? There was no indication of anything hinky about her in the game. Will I learn more from the original AA. I need a good excuse to play it anyway.

I must remark, before I forget, how incredibly clever that puzzle was. Doing "that" to reveal the hidden passage way; so clever. Now I boast 105% completion. Argh I want more. MOAR!

Did it. It wasn't that hard. Once you know the solution to the riddle, it expands your mind and you will never fall for similar riddles. And holy shit indeed. What?
