making characters move when they attack.(not sure where else to put this)
So ive played several of the games featured on this web site, and something has been bugging me. with rpg maker 2003, how do you make characters run at the opponent when they attack? this has been done many times but i cant figure out how. help please? and i didnt know where else to put this, so...

I just bought a new computer a few days ago, it uses Windows Vista, and upon installing RPG Maker 2003 and trying to start a new project, it said "project creation could not be completed"
Is RM2k3 compatible with Vista? and if so how would I go about fixing this annoying issue?

so, i found this place and decided "hey, an RPG maker community, sweet" I'm one half of a currently 2-man game design team. I use RPG Maker 2003, cu i dont wanna pay for XP, and really cant at the moment, am 18, and have no real life but playing Ultima Oline and Making RPGs out of boredom. so yeah... that's me... also I'm getting an error when i try to download the various games showcased here, help please?
