yo yo, what is is?

Something else that I did in order to learn some stuff is to look at guides on Youtube. That way when you get your product, you'll have a better idea of how to better utilize it so that it doesn't just sit there. Or try out the demo.

In fact, that's actually one of the main reasons why I went with rm2k3. Originally I was gonna go with VX Ace, but rm2k3 was only 20 bucks (at the time I bought it), which meant that I had all the time in the world to work with it and test stuff out. One way to learn some information is to just get the game (or the demo, whichever version) and experiment.

Welcome to the forums. I'm new just like you are. For some of the basics, I would check out the tutorials on this site, as they are useful.

As for other stuff (such as making sprites and such), I don't mind helping you out with what I know. To better help you (and for others to better help you), it would be good to have an idea of what specific things you need assistance with (like whether you are using RM2k3 or RMVX Ace for instance).

Feel free to ask questions in a pm, and I'll help to the best of my ability

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I'm working on my first game. Fighting with music will be a major theme.

Greetings RMN!

Yeah, I wanted something refreshing that almost nobody would think of, and using the Swahili language (I know a couple of words) seemed like the way to go.

I only hope that I can continue to be as creative as my username. No pressure!

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Its a tie between Pokemon ORAS and Plants VS. Zombies, two franchises known for being a time sink

Greetings RMN!

For years I have debated on whether or not I wanted to step through the door of making video games, and I would attempt it, then stop, then attempt again, then stop again.

But about a couple of months ago, I got tired of procrastinating, so I purchased a copy of RM2K3, and within a week (last Saturday actually), taught myself how to create my own walking game sprites and sprite sheets through simple observation and trial and error.

But I am far from complete. There is still so much more for me to learn. And though I might have figured out a couple of things on my own, there might be others who don't understand, so why not share the wealth?

And that is why I have finally found myself in a place where I honestly should have been many years earlier, but I was just in denial of who I really am.

But I digress. I am Mapachatumbili (Swahili for "GeminiMonkey"), and I find it a pleasure to be here!
