[rpg2k3]RTP-style BattleChar Requests

sorry for double-post, let me know if its bad, but just figured out a major flaw: I forgot to give details on the characters I want <_<

edited and added them into first post

[rpg2k3]RTP-style BattleChar Requests

I've looked at a lot of battlechar creators and not many of them are too good. I need a couple of BattleChars done on the rpg maker 2003 RTP-style. There is a lot, but I won't throw them all at one person. If anyone is willing to help, please let me know. ^^

Also if you need more information, tell me.

EDIT: For future reference if anyone helps, here are the characters I need done. Just BattleChar sets in rpg2k3 RTP style. If anyone agrees to help, they can choose whatever ones they want and I'll keep a list on the ones that are taken for the moment.

Matt
OUTFIT: Black shorts and black t-shirt, brown leather boots, pearl necklace on neck (optional)
APPEARANCE AND POSES: Pretty much the same as the RTP Male Hero, face, race, hair color, and poses. Has a full-crystallized arm. Light-blue color

Eric
OUTFIT: Red torn t-shirt, blue torn jeans, brown leather boots, torn yellow-orange cape
APPEARANCE: Same as samurai (skin, poses), but without the ponytail

Forrest
OUTFIT: Same as Matt, but light-blue t-shirt and cyan shorts
APPEARANCE: Same as (file name- man_3) Only changes are a green cape and blonde hair

Landon
OUTFIT: Pink sweater, blue jeans, glasses
APPEARANCE: Brown short hair (possibly same as male priest but no ring on head (or whatever) and brown hair) poses can be same as priest

Yang (From TV show Yin Yang Yo)
OUTFIT: White robes with a grey sash, short sleeved, grey pants, blue shoes
APPEARANCE: Same hair as (man 2) and pretty much same poses and looks

Yeah, most of these are recolors but I still have no idea and/or fail at recoloring :<

Is it possible to get better at mapping?

In which engine does it have the sample map, because I'm using RPG Maker 2003. (well technically RPG Maker 2009 Ultimate) Should have mentioned that earlier, but didn't think it would affect mapping.

I actually use the RTP for almost all my maps, but I just can't use the decorative tiles effectively, I guess you'd say. Only tiles I usually use are stairt, weapons, food, tables, ladders, etc. Basic stuff. Also the first tutorial showed making mountains and I never understood that part of the tileset, but I can try it. Gotta try something new.

Thanks for the tips. Now I don't know if I should continue my very first CMS or work on mapping a bit more XD

Is it possible to get better at mapping?

@fbu: xD i once had a simple map that included fish jumping out of a river and falling back in. Is that similar to what you mean by living and animated things? Cuz I can do that :P

Is it possible to get better at mapping?

@edchuy: I'll think about that. I'm working on a CMS and am going to start taking RPG Maker seriously.....maybe.

@giaks: That would help ^^ Maybe you can give pointers, and I'll post screenshots in the topic edchuy posted, and maybe others including you can give feedback on them.

If it helps, the denied text said "Map was too plain" and yeah, most of my house maps are just boxes surrounded in walls with little furniture due to lack of good chip/charsets xP

Is it possible to get better at mapping?

In all of the games I've worked on (at least 10 or more, not completed though) I can't make a good-looking map to save my life. I remember looking at a tutorial (or tips of mapping) and it didn't help either. I just don't understand how to get good at it, and it annoys me that so many people expect beautiful maps when i can barely make a house look good. If I can't get better at mapping, should I just give up on game making or only make games for family, friends, etc so they don't have high expectations?

Random Fact: My game was denied for poor mapping. I'm not arguing with the decision, I'm just confused and feel helpless at improving it.

A lazy guy? Make rpgs? Pfft.

I've heen looking into sripting and its VERY onfusing, but like you said, I'll probably play around and learn how to do it.

Also I see I have 3 maker points. I guess thats a good start xD

Just so you know, ATB/Side-view battle style is very much possible in VX and XP. In fact, anything is possible there with the power of scripting.

But yeah, only thing is that they're not free (though they do have 30-day trials).

True, but I don't know a single thing about scripting. Probably a reason why I think my RPGs are no good. *shrug* If I knew scripting, I could probably make my game everything I ever wanted it to be......but I can't. ;_;

...Well, I don't consider myself a furry, but most of my friends are.....guess that's bad too xP

Well, as far as I've seen, you have to pay for VX and XP. (or do you?) Besides, I VERY much prefer the side-view and ATB battle style.....plus I'm just more familiar with it.

Okay, I'll think about it. ATM I've been considering cancelling my games anyway, so I may not post them. I might post an RPG not related to the trilogy I'm cancelling.
