Ah, yes that game. Several times I nearly bought it. But the reviews about unbalanced fights stopped me every time ... mage with only 31 MP at level 15, bossfights only won by luck; or crafting useless because you can't find material.

I designed the battle system to be difficult but fair. If the player utilizes all the tools given to them they can easily beat the game with zero grinding on the hardest difficulty. You can even see guides on GameFaqs where someone solo'd the game with multiple characters.

There is also a difficulty selection so if you would like to be able to spam magic more frequently you can choose to play the game on Normal or lower difficulty.

The crafting criticism I think has to do with the fact we put relic crafting blacksmiths in every town which I think was a mistake and maybe I'll patch it out in the future. It was meant to be a convenance for when the player has started getting relic gear that they wouldn't have to travel to a specific place to upgrade those items. Of course I haven't notice many people mention this as a problem in their reviews so I don't know.

Edit: We have a demo on Steam so you could always just try it that way. It's the first chapter of the game. Easiest way to see if you'll enjoy the gameplay or not.
