SIRMATTEI'S PROFILE

I am a beginner game programmer (litterally). I've start programming with Sphere nov.4th or 5th, 2010.
I've been using Javascript since oct.23 or 24 (can't quite remember) and I'm decent with it (web making with javascript), but a beginner still. hopefully with the help of other fellow sphere scripters, I just might be able to create my dream game, Enteral Eclipse. I'm also a man of classic RPG (of course). Last but not least I just want to throw out there that I am a guy who takes programming seriously, meaning that if I start making a game, dag nab it, I'll finish it!
oh, and if there are any sphere programmers who want to be apart of my game creation project, I'll gladly accept the help.

The text is still bland even though it is moving. I'd consider you use a different font! In the old sphere editor you can convert a system font into a sphere font. I would suggest you use fonts like Calibri, Tahoma, and if you have to Verdana, or you could go and search for better fonts and install them into your system/fonts folder then, you can also import those into sphere the same way.
Go to file->import->windows font to sphere font
As for the image... Well there's a lot of open space of a solid color. I'd try to get someone else to draw you a picture of a person, if you really want one, because the current image isn't that good. I suck at drawing people myself, so I would not bother with drawing people in my title/intro slides. ;)
ok, radnen, I'll take your advice on the text font, but the thing is, is that I think somethings wrong with the background input on wintro.js because it won't let me change its font with out it messing up.
p.s. I'm not bad at drawing with pencil, its drawing with the computer I suck at.
the reason why I don't have my penciled drawings up here is because I don't have a scanner avaliable to me(but I do have a USB camera which doesn't show up as clear as if it was scanned). believe me, I'm a decent artist, it runs in the family...

Umm... a bit bland and the text is hard to read. I don't want to sound evil, but it's quite dreadful to say the least.
:(
the words are actually moving diagnal so people will be able to see it when playing the game. also I was trying to give it a darker mood. (I used wintro from the system files to work this)
p.s. how do you think I should fix the blandness?

Besides that messed up water tiling up at the top, and the fact that the sprites don't exactly match with the environment, this looks nice.
Is everything custom? like the trees and water and whatnot.
the nature graphics (like radnen said) are from spherical (made by metallix I think), but the character/npc sprites were made by me. also when making the characters,I was referencing characters from ff4 (love that game by the way). the npc's however, were made using no reference whats so ever, just imagination.

Well, I certainly don't want to turn you over to the ilk of RPGMaker! :P
you don't have to worry about that becuase I've found the sphere community to be quite the welcome wagon. also, I always wanted to create my own game the old fashioned way, thats why I chose sphere first (even though there were times where it got so confusing I went to the point of even considering rpgmaker, but that was on my first week to so it was to be expected... :) ).

I actually think that is a cool story. I mean, it follows a nice "hero's role" type journey where you have the student and master, but in this case its the student looking for his master and in that regard he becomes a hero after the various trials and tribulations.
Wish you the best of luck. Sphere is a hard system to get used to!
Thanks radnen, that means alot coming from you. also I was wondering if it was ok to add you to the developer list on this page as a thanks for the help on my battle system...

Yeah, everything. You should be doing this in a freshly made copy of sphere and not your current working directory, though (since this is primarily for distribution and you don't want all your other stuff in with it).
It sounds like you installed with the exe, you should probably use the zip release for this so you don't confuse the installer with multiple copies. I don't know where you found Sphere at but I believe the latest releases can be found here: http://spheredev.org/downloads/sphere_release/ (You'll also need the sphere-dlls.zip extracted to the same directory)
I think I got it right this time.
