I did when I was 15. I made my own Starfleet uniform for Halloween. People called Star Trek nerdy in school, so Halloween was one of the few times I was actually cool (they were all closet Trekkies). I was a pretty good tailor in my youth. Most people thought I had purchased it somewhere. Nope. I could tug at my collar and show them the hand stitch. Trekkie couture.
I went as Ryuko from KLK... this outfit:
I wanted to do something simple since it was my first time and I didn't really know what to expect. My sister cut the wig into more of a guy's style for me. It was a lot of fun! Someone who was there as Mako charged me from across the room, too :D

@pianotm: Ahhh, that's fantastic! Mine was mostly a mix of clothes I found that I altered to match.

Cosplay game is too weak. You needed to earn that weight for real accuracy.

It'd be kinda uncomfy after a while... mine was easy, but I saw people with huge weapons or enormous masks and things and I can only imagine were super unwieldy :P
