Nice! That's really spectacular and must be a huge relief. Congrats!

Well done! I've still got £34,500 to go
(Admittedly student loans have a lot less impact in the UK than the US...)

Holy crap, congrats!
Thanks everyone! Yea, student loans were stressin' me out for a while, they're pretty high-interest and debt makes me anxious... but I've been working a lot and saving money and now I'm free ^^
I'm pretty cautious about recommending college to people nowadays, especially since a lot of disciplines don't really need a degree;; Sometimes you just need experience & a strong portfolio!

It's a good feeling. I remember when mine was payed off, and I flunked out early ffs. Made me all the more angry that I had this big debt. Then I promptly replaced it with car payments! At least you have a better credit score now, assuming you didn't miss payments.

Yeah, pretty much this. My little brother never finished college and got a job working at a lawn caring facility and within a couple of years there he rocketed up the latter to become the general manager of the area making around $72,000 a year with including bonuses. He now makes more than I do - and I went to college!
But I’m glad that you managed to pay off your student loans there, slash. Going to post-secondary nowadays is extremely expensive in this type of economy, and it really is a wonder how some people can manage to afford it on such a low income.
