The endless stream of "I need a team for free, I've never completed a game, I have no proof that I'm dedicated" threads really gets old, guys.

I think uni is just having a bad day. I'll put her down for a nap when she gets home and she'll be right as rain.

I'm bitter that I'll never be as bitter as Craze :P
I was one of these people, or at least I was of their kin. I had huge ambitions abiut game dev, but no real know how of how to actualize them, so I kind of grasped for straws desparately. Perhaps not so desparately as to ask for a team, but I'd chuck around ideas and ask people what they thought, and then spend less time actually pulling through with it. Experience pushing through those creative boundaries can do you real wonders. Granted, I didn't have an old hand to prod me into submission - I'd like to think I'd have gladly taken to it - but I guess it was just the beginning of a process that would allow the game making to begin actually making sense, instead of being some mythological carrot on a stick dangled just out of my reach. I pray the best for anyone who wants to make it to where they wanna be, dev wise. The long short - perseverance and hard work working on a solo dig to conpletion is pretty much the whole journey. From then on, the huge mountainous terrain becomes much more manageable and less hideously severe. I've got the RMN community to thank for that. Helping me through. You guys bring a tear to a grown man's proverbial eye. When you're not tearing me apart like Lisa.
Someone should link the "Teamwork and You" article trio as necessary replies. Hell, when I was making my first game, I didn't consign for help and rather taught myself of how I used the good ol' RPG Maker.
Definitely something that I could agree with.

Whenever I see one of these recruitment threads, I get a twitch in my eye.
Definitely something that I could agree with.
