finishing a game after 20 years
Huge fan of RR4 since I first saw it on SM.net many moons ago! Glad to see some activity on it again. RR4 has always inspired me in all sorts of ways.

I noticed you moved over to Game Maker Studio! I've spent some time with MV and Unity, but not GMS yet. How do you feel about it so far and the transition? Is there anything you miss?
I use a calendar to block out time in the day for it. I'm already calendar wrangling at work for meetings, game dev days are just another dedicated timeslot. Any other work that happens inbetween is the cherry on the cake.

I'm glad you're addressing the frustration experienced with the intro taking too long, I'm playing the demo right now and that is the one thing that sticks out the most negatively.
That being said, I'm pretty interested to see where this will be going. I've mentioned it already, but I adore the art style and color palette. The music is catchy too, and you can tell that the characters and story are all well-thought out.
