RMN BATTLEDOME! ROUND TWO!

Sorry to insist, but I just love this character, I just stop and contemplate, every detail...

What is the relationship between choice of weapons and stats?
If I make a character that has low DEF and give him a shield, does that mean he gets a DEF boost? or is the shield less effective because of his low DEF stat?
Same with ATK stat; if I go with low ATK stat but use the beam cannon, will it still obliterate anything in its path? or will it do less damage because of the low ATK stat?
I thought about addressing this earlier, but never got around to it.
The idea is: If you build a highly defensive robot with a heavy-duty, slow-looking body, you should reflect your stats accordingly. I put my DEF low, because her joints are exposed and she is slender. Unlikely to take much to rip apart. However, she's extremely agile in her build, so her stat reflects it. I think if you are going to put 100 ATK stat, you should either build your robot to be powerful, or buy weapons to attribute this. If you have a tower shield, you should point this in the stats.
In the end, stats are for show. Arguing points while choosing a victor in the coming championship. There will be no "battleplan" drawing or writing. We will simply vote based on what is created now.
so, are the robots expected to be humanoid (or at least autonomous) in their design? So that they can do MMA-style fighting (judging by the battlechips)? or is it supposed to be like Battlebots here, where they are like giant remote controlled cars with armor plating and bandsaws and whatnot.
Perhaps the Tomoi chip? I dunno. I just like the sound of it.
*Edit: I think I've got the basic information down, but now comes the "fun" part. Making the graphics. I've got a plan for the pilot, a "kinda-sorta" plan for the mech, but the sponsor icon could mess me up a tad.

If I have to design my graphics using only my innate skills, I can promise that things are going to look "terribad". Otherwise, I might be able to make something at least halfway decent?

I'd say anything from Mech Warrior, to Gundam... It should be able to utilize the battlestyle chip, but if you can think of a creative way to do so, have at her design-wise!
Marrend, I'm sure you'll do fine!
Here we come!

A confirmed controller, five times champion on her planet Us! (which makes her a Wean)I'm seriously running out of ideas, it's late here...:

Her robot : : beware its 2 tons that can send you at the other end of the battledrome! its ferocious resistance and body with all directions seeing eyes, there'll be nowheres to hide! its four claws that cut though steel as through butter, and its unsuspected agility thanks to its wheeled feet! the opening in its head will send a shrill scream that will deafen you and momentarily make you loose sense of direction!
Head, claws and legs are retractable, giving the bot the possibility of becoming a 2 ton megasphere of steel rushing to you at incredible speed!
Stats : HP : 90
...........EN : 95
...........Att. : 65
...........Def. : 55
...........Agil. : 32
Weapons : Electric Mace
.................Tower shield
.................Beam cannon(x1 charge)
Team name : The HARLEQUIN Team

Sorry for all that space!

I'll take taekkyon I guess.
Taekkyon is not available.
Currently, only the Dampe, Defendo, El Juego del Garrote, Bājíquán, and Pehlwani chips are left.
Oh, I assumed that "may" meant I could use any style I wanted.
Prepare for whimsy and MSPaint-jobs:
Step 1: Create a controller!
Team: Ahkdabelthtimbor ("A-Team")
Name: Xilkaterimaletul ("Mr. X")
Race: Dohimquildsaetcqu ("D-Enemy")
Graphic:
The Dohimquildsaetcqu race are known throughout the galaxy as creatures of great intelligence and cunning. Very competitive and war-like in nature, many species have called this race their equivalent of "The Enemy". Certain Humans have even gone so far as to call the race "D-Enemy". Members of the Dohimquildsaetcqu are not keen on either appellation, but they have been around long enough to stick.
In the course of Xilkaterimaletul's career, it has earned the name of "Mr. X". Like any shortened form of words in their native tongue, Xilkaterimaletul resents the term. As an individual, it was little more than a tinkerer at heart, supposing "heart" is the proper term. Designs it made were little more than fancy: a hobby to spend off-hours on but never accumulating enough steam to act upon with any amount of seriousness. Until, that is, it heard that the Battledrome was in it's corner of the galaxy!
Earning the support of Radim Xerran Zetathran Industries (of whom the Dohimquildsaetcqu have had many profitable dealings with in the past), Xilkaterimaletul had the audacity of using "Ahkdabelthtimbor" (a legendary hero of the Dohimquildsaetcqu race) as the team name, and the name for the robot. To the unending vexation of Xilkaterimaletul, the term "A-Team" has been applied by many involved in the Battledrome.
Step 2: Create a Sponsor!
Radim Xerran Zetathran Industries. Makers of the infamous "RXZ" series of battle computers, among other products. RXZ! We've got attitude!
Logo:
Step 3: Parameter and equipment definition!

Very well I take dambe. It sounds brutal as shit.

Blame dudesofts nagging.
I blow all my space bucks on important things like butter and toast and maybe some actual clothes.
Style chip: El Juego del Garrote.
Concept work for BR-0, the Muay Thai robot warrior. I still have to finalize the stats and controller and sponsor.
