WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

2 is a masterpiece. Especially, when you're lazy and don't do side missions and mining for extra cash.
Today my country's future is painted black, whoever wins.
I vote for all of us who are in the states to do one giant move to canada. The states are no longer safe. It will be rm's biggest project yet.
If I had the funds I might have even done this.
Ninja'd by liberty: There is a third party choice. I did vote for them but...nobody votes for them. Essentially was a wasted vote, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of the other two.

I can't wait for Hillary to eviscerate Donald tonight on public TV, I got a good bottle of Jerry's spiced rum and I'm going to laugh as the Cheeto Benito crashes and burns for all to see

Hey, if enough people vote third choice because they can't bring themselves to vote for the hillumps, then they've got it in the bag.
...that's how these things work.
I'm expecting everyone (with a modicum of intelligence) at the polls to look at their choices and just stare at the Hillump boxes for a while then see the third and go "Fuck it, why not?"
Please, please don't make me wrong on this - (Who knows? Perhaps the best way to get a third party in is to make two completely trash candidates for the main two? Crossing my fingers for you all.)

The problem is that a third party needs to establish itself first. People know and have strong feelings on the big two candidates. Most Americans don't know anything about the third option.
Seeing this first hand, the only effect voting for a third party has had on US elections in my lifetime is taking away votes from one of the big two allowing the other of the big two to win.
Until we get a big enough third party, voting for them in the US is a bad idea. (Not to mention that they've been courting anti-vaccination people this year. Eeew) As Sooz says, you have to "fight with the army you have." Until a third party has a big enough following to actually have a chance to win, I can't advise this.
Yes, but the thing is, if it keeps going fighting with the same army and never defecting to a third side, you'll always have that same army and no changes will happen because it's always going to be "third army has yet to prove". Sometimes you just gotta have hope that they're better than the two big choices, even if they haven't proven.
Or at least that's what Suikoden taught me. Be a Star of Destiny guys! Take the chance on an unproven kid from who-knows-where who just showed up and is talking about taking down the empire.
I mean, thinking about it, this is the best time to go for third - both leaders are guaranteed pieces of shit so it's the best chance for change in that regard. Mix things up a little - can't be worse than those two, right? (also, the chances of anyone coming on the field next time in the third party who is going to prove their worth is goddamn low. best rep this time around got rekt because people are stupid :/ Ppl are never not gonna be stupid, unfortunately)
in be4 satan is third party rep (lol, posted and didn't see the anti-vacc. not sure if worth)

Voting third party at the local or state levels is easier to justify. Third parties and independents have a much higher chance of scoring office in that regard, But voting at the presidential level in this election is irresponsible. I get why people do it. I understand the importance of it.
But this is absolutely not the election that people should be doing it in. Wait four years and try again if you want a third-party that badly.

Maybe if the third option was a saint. As it stands, none of them are super reputable. They don't stand a chance, and until they can come up with a platform people can support, they'll stay in the background.
Like I said, a third party has never won the presidency in my lifetime in the US.
Yeeeeet~
There's always a first time. I'm just saying now would be a good time to shake things up since the other two choices are complete crap. Make the two options realise they're not guaranteed a two-way battle and finally pull their shit together in the next election instead of loling the third party out (and maybe wake the country up to the fact that, hey, there are other options...)
Even if there is one term that is complete crap, at least it would shake things out of the stalemate and hive-mindery that two-party history has created.

Maybe enough people who hate trump/hillary will gang together to create a reality? It might happen. You never know~ Weirder things certainly have.
Now, perhaps if bernie had made it to third party there'd be a more likely battle being waged, but alas...
I say this knowing full well that Australia has the same goddamn issue. One day...

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

I don't think anyone can justifiably say voting for third party is moronic, as in America, it is a protest action just as much as blank voting or not voting at all is. And it's a much better option than either of those other two. (I'm not evn sure if you can vote blank in the US though?)

Guys, you're overthinking this as usual.
There's only one logical choice.
Finally... a candidate I can relate to! XD
One thing we can all be happy for, is that tomorrow all of the electoral news coverage and commercials will finally be over.
Also there's no blank voting, the extra option is a write in. There's roughly seven presidential candidates to choose from, four of which you've never heard about. Then you vote senators, local state seats, etc. If someone wanted to they could just write their name in, but ultimately that's not sending a message (unless you simply don't show up and they see a large number of citizens refusing to vote).
