I vote for all of us who are in the states to do one giant move to canada. The states are no longer safe. It will be rm's biggest project yet.

Ninja'd by liberty: There is a third party choice. I did vote for them but...nobody votes for them. Essentially was a wasted vote, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of the other two.
To quote myself from two pages ago. The wall won't make canada great again though, as you'll simply be following trumps ideals...in which case I wouldn't want to move there...seems we have a paradox on our hands.

i love how all my brazilian fb friends (especially the teenagers) are all pseudo-politically engaged and after quenching their thirst over the impeachment of the brazilian president Dilma, are now all quarelling over the american election results as if they knew what they were talking about.

'Hope' is not something I have for America anymore. Or this world.
When I was asked to look at mom's computer this morning, I thought there was something wrong with it. I mean, it's, like, three OSes old now (or however old Vista is), and it's been soooo slooooow. However, she just wanted me to look at the election results.

Just keep in mind that it's only 4-8 years. It'll feel like forever but it will end eventually and even the President has limitations to what kind of bullshit they can do, so he can't exactly destroy everything in one fell swoop.

It's actually not the presidency alone that we should be worrying about. The GOP took everything. They'll even be able to stack the Supreme Court, and we can look forward to more rulings like "corporations are people" and the Voting Rights Act having unfair "racial entitlements".
And the Republicans know their voter base is on the downslope. They're going to do everything they can to restrict the right to vote in the coming years. I made a prediction a few pages ago that if the Republicans won everything, America won't have fair elections in 2020. I'm standing by that.
