Anyone else but I think the phrase "May the 4th be with you" sounds kind of stupid? Like, I get the reference and the historical significance scratch that, nothing of significance happened today of it... but c'mon with that.
We're all creative people here and I think we can all acknowledge that that's some low-hanging fruit right there.

I rather like it and always thought it was nicely pithy, myself. It's cute but geeky - part of being geeky is being lame, you know? It's why we repeat quotes from games and movies endlessly.
I though being geeky was saying things that would be lame to everyone else but be completely cool and awesome with a group of friends?

I had that driven home to me a couple of nights ago, a favourite movie was on TV and I found I could quote about 3/4th of it, and the 1/4 I couldn't remember was covered by a friend. The movie was a comedy but we were laughing more at each other.
Do note that I don't mean lame in a derogatory term. More, that it's something silly and funny and a bit stupid. Like dad jokes. Dad jokes are lame but they're also silly/funny/fun.

Did anyone else catch ItmeJp's and Strippin's FFXIV wedding stream last night? It was the bomb.

After watching this and doing some soul searching, I need to get this out and post it so that I can recall this moment in case I get up my own ass about right and wrong again.
People have the right to do and create whatever they want. They have the right to feel and express whatever they want. They have the right to consume whatever they want. At the end of the day, it's their life, experience and perspective that is independent of my own. Regardless of how I might feel about certain subjects, all things have the right to exist. The only discrepancy lies in where such things are shared, such as rape/necrophilia/pedophilia/bestiality porn adhering to a place's terms of service, whatever place that accepts these things may be.
Above all else, I need to get over myself. I have my own feelings and I have as much right to feel/share them as anyone else and hold a dialogue with anyone else, but should and shouldn't need not apply. If there seems to be an abundance of things that lie on one side of my morality, I should strive to create more for the other side to even it out instead of tearing down what already exists.
I'll still pain when I witness these things, but the past is the past.

So that’s why those people in the stands at the Houston Rockets game against the Clippers today were dressed up in all that Star Wars getup! I didn’t even know that May 4th was Star Wars Day until I just looked it up. Some wannabe nerd that I am.
Anyways, I’m thinking about tomorrow’s breakfast. Do I go expired cereal or burnt toast? :|

How about just toast without burning it?
Because fans care more in most cases. Sure, sometimes you have that series that the game creators really really care about - Rare's team, for example - but for the most part it's the players that get attached to the game and want more of it. Game companies sweep a game they deem unsuccessful under the rug and want to forget it but the fans of that game will always care.
