As of today it has been five years since the last time I touched a drop of alcohol. Whenever it comes up, and I tell people I haven't drank in x years, they usually assume I was some kind of ultra-alcoholic. The short version is that I had a very bad night, and I made a promise to myself that I'd never put myself in that position again.
I still keep some hard liquor in the house though, partially for entertaining purposes, but also as a constant test of my resolve. Commitment without temptation is meaningless.

I'm waiting for a call to let me know when to go in to pick up my glasses. An apparent, and unfortunate, result of my mysterious eye infection is that my left eye now requires vision correction. Yup, I'm getting a pair of glasses with one pane of window glass, ground to opthalmic grade, of course, and one prescription lens.
With my luck, they'll be backwards and I'll have to wait another few days for the mistake to get corrected.
It will be nice to be able to read, drive, or use the computer without getting a headache again though.

Monopolo is now a year old (er...new version that is). :D To celebrate, I'm going to play it until 2 in the morning and relieve the glory years! Hopefully my next two projects (which will be finished next year) will be just as much fun. ^^

When you tell someone that a song made you think of them, make sure that you know all of the lyrics to it.
These headphones make a strange noise that sounds like the distant chirping or birds. For the longest time I kept thinking there were birds outside at 2 am.

This sounds ridiculous but it's true:
I just came from having an epic-length intricate series of nightmares within nightmares (mostly with an obvious theme of "video-games". Nice hint-drop there mr. subconscious.) ALL NIGHT LONG and didn't wake up, even at the part where I got shot. I only woke up when I had to solve a puzzle involving colours and ghosts. Typical me.
