Ugh, it is IMPOSSIBLE to find a free screen recorder that:
1. Can record just game sound without background noise.
2 . Doesn't lag horribly.
3. Doesn't have an annoying watermark.
Do you guys know of one like this?

1. this has to do with the settings of what you choose to record. define background noise. it could be recording the mic background noise like you coughing. if you mean sound from other programs running, like mp3 player, shut it off...
2. if HC2 lags then your PC is likely too weak to run any kind of screen capture. you might have better luck with some recordings if you run the program/game fullscreen. just set the recording coordinates to the programs resolution size start at coordinate 0,0. you could also reduce your desktop screen resolution or maybe even run safe mode or something.
3. HC2 has no watermarks or limits(like 5 minutes or filesize) that i know of. it might not have many features, but that makes it most likely to run on your pc without lag.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Debut Video Capture is what I use and it works perfectly and has all of the above requirements. You can choose to record just your microphone, just what is coming out of your speakers, or both.
Lag is most likely caused by the video compression happening at the same time as recording. Debut has an option to create uncompressed .avi videos - which are massive, but you can then compress them properly later when you're not playing the game.

Now that my life's pretty much on-track, I've resolved to create a full RM game before I graduate next year. Let this post stand as a testament to my promise...
