WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

I've been reading the House of Hades by Rick Riordan lately. I just got to the part where Jason and Nico meet Cupid and Nico reveals his little... secret. I'm... shocked to say the least. Is Rick crazy? Doesn't he know how many fans he'll lose (or has already lost) over this?
And if you're wondering what I'm talking about, then I'll tell you (Warning, minor spoilers for the House of Hades):
In one chapter Nico di Angelo and Jason Grace meet Cupid and Cupid forces Nico to admit that he has a crush on Percy Jackson, of all people. Seriously Nico, dat's gay.

I'm not gonna stop reading because of it, but I kind of wonder why he put such a... controversial topic in one of his books...
I remember Calculus II class midterm where the prof was disgusted with the class's performance and decided to hand out the tests in % score order by announcing our names and score to the rest of the class. Something like nearly half the class failed, and the class average was like 53%. My friends were in the class and we scored the top 3 marks. It went something like (names made up) "Girly McGirl, 61%. Bob Bobson, 64%... and Kenton Anderson, 92%"

Booyah. Wrecking grade curves since 1987.
Used to do that well in high school, wish I could say the same for college. At least, things didn't end badly.

They always do this in high school. I wonder why they stopped it in college.

Oh well, let's leave this school subject. XD

On the class after the midterms were marked and the prof was going to hand them back, she said about the results, "....how can I put this...? It's not too late to drop the class." Hands back tests.

I hate to be *that* guy, but I honestly don't think good grades has much to do with general cleverness. Using myself as an example: I haven't got less than an A in any course at University so far, but I can barely solve the simplest of problems at job interviews. Hell, I couldn't even implement memoization for the recursive Fibonacci algorithm..

Well, if the entire class drops, she won't have to work anymore. Guess that's a win-win? XD

I got by my interviews on my charm and wit. That and knowing people. It's not who you know, but who knows you!

I forgot to mention that this was for Biology 151 - the "easy" biology for those not intending to go on to a degree with a real need for it. It was basically highschool level stuff. I rocked that class, of course, because I am a genius, but a lot of those Marketing majors and majorettes floundered like fish!

I have other stories too, like the time I skipped ALL of the classes between the first and second midterm for Econ 202 (Macroeconomics) and yet still got a 92% in the class, or the time I cranked out a 5 page essay overnight for Religious Studies 100 (because I skipped a bunch of classes and forgot the due date), or taking History 100 because a girl I liked took it (too bad her BOYFRIEND also took the class >:|

Reminds me of this one time I needed to write a 3 page paper over a book in our East Asian Studies class that I had only lightly skimmed half of. I wrote the whole thing start to finish about an hour before class started and still managed to get a B on it.
I had a sudden burst of inspiration and decided to make a short puzzle game where you try to escape a mine after it collapsed.
It's nice doing stuff in RPG Maker after not doing anything with it in months~

Are you thinking about putting it on RMN, or was it just for practice? It sounds interesting at the very least!

@YM Yeah, I'm like that too. The idea of grading things to see how much knowledge someone has probably isn't the best way to do it. Though, in kentona's case, I think his grade was a lot more indicative how much he knew since everyone else did bad. Still not perfect though.

I might put it on RMN, if I think it doesn't suck once I finish it. :)
Does that sentence I just typed make any sense to any of you because I feel like something is wrong with that sentence (like grammatically).

It does make sense to me, although it seems to me you have the right phrases (for the better part), not quite in the right order:

Once I finish it, if I think it doesn't suck, I might put it on RMN.

Except you probably feel instead of think, and, instead of might you actually mean will definitely.

My mom is an English teacher yet I really suck at grammar sometimes. Why didn't I type it like THAT? ;_;
