eh, I have nothing to show for it. But the future stats and stuff should come quicker now that I've given up on game development

So basically we've got one shot and she's got 20 since she can lock it anytime on page 999, not just on the last post on that page. If Kentona was going to let it happen, but Word of God said not so I thought that was the end of it.
Edit: also it took me 3 minutes to find those comments which pretty much puts paid to the notion that a thread with a 'bajillion' pages is hard or time consuming to search.

Because threads with a bajillion pages are just mental. And you can't easily search a specific thread for a specific post that you didn't make, even with the site search. We should avoid too many bloated threads.
And the plans ain't nothing dastardly. Just... don't expect a page 1000 from this thread is all. ^.^

This is probably not going to happen on my watch.
Basically the challenge is this: If they beat me to the 1000th page (that is, I can only lock it on page 999) then it'll stay open. If not, it'll be locked on page 999. Also, the first person to post on page 1000 - if anyone does - will get a special one-of-a-kind achievement called "I Shot the Sheriff". And, like, 1 MS. XD
This challenge started about page 900 or so, in response to the locking and restarting of the Screenshot thread on page 499. Because round numbers suck. ;p

Oh there are some doozies in this thread when it comes to conversations and even a little conflict, ok so quite a bit of conflict at times. Not sure it would be a good idea to drag up all of it in the dying stages of such a great and encompassing thread. It's kind of morbid, like a open casket funeral.

Huh, I think I've never even posted in this thread before. And if I did then that was months ago. So sad to see such a grown up thread go, though. All the proud members of the forum that helped raise it...and now it will be discarded like a dead horse. Poor thing. Libby, you have no heart. :(
All right so in the vein of an earlier conversation in this thread, I'd like some suggestions about my next video game purchase. Liberty you've already had a go at that one, albeit unintentional so you don't get to put in your two penny's. But others, people that I assume are actually people rather than one of the multiple facets of the multinational advertising firms who are clamouring and slavering over my disposable income, your opinions are sought.
I'm not big on FPS, pretty much narratively driven in almost every aspect, ok with tactical as long as it's also logical, don't usually feel the need to blow people up even as a stress release. Like building things, and working my way through puzzles. As has also already been mentioned not a huge fan of NG+ so if the best content isn't already in the game as it stands on a first playthrough it's probably not going to get my vote. Not that I'm adverse to multiple plays of a game if I like it. I've done that plenty of times.
So fly my pretties and bring me back suggestions.

So, I§m thinking about chain games. I haven§t played any so far, but I have some downloaded and they look so tasty. I don't wanna make seperate thread right away, but one thing is so suure. I'm planning on kicking off one (and probably leading it's direction). I'm wondering what parts should I decide on with other 'chainers.'
I don't wanna be responsible for selecting some of the basics like setting and playable characters, especially protagonist.
Also I'm not sure about my ability to deliver the first part to utter satisfaction of the rest of participants. I lack database related skills and I'm not sure whether battle system designed by me will be enjoyable and how much it can be alternated in later parts of game or whether we should focus on puzzles completely.
Also what time frame should I set for each participant? My can be logically longer as I would be putting things in motion, but Is a week enuf? Forteen days? I would go even with longer time period, but I do worry, whether it would be productive anymore.

Also here's a question, why would you play a RM game on an android device? Someone over on Enelysion's thread said they were hoping they could play it on one (probably not since neko is for XP, not VX) Wouldn't the screen be much too small and you'd lose all the immersion you get from a better resolution?
