I'm wondering why this phrase is now being used so often. I'm not saying the people do not need to know what happened in general but it seems to me the people and the world were doing fine. Now EVERYTHING seems it must be open and transparent or the people are not happy and must demonstrate or riot to get what they want. Just curious why this is happening.
gee's, I sure hope Liberty is not lurking ^^

author=Linkisauthor=SatedPresident Xi Jinping has promised a thorough investigation into what happened and "transparent information disclosure to the public," Xinhua news agency reports.
Koopas aren't men.author=nhubiNo, I can't imagine they did.
Sated, doesn't seem like they paid much attention to OHS in those plants and transportation services.

The sheer area that's been affected by this blast is ridiculous. It literally looks as though a bomb was dropped on the place.

Too many government cover-ups and lies. That's why. People are fine letting governments run as long as they don't start taking control of things they shouldn't and deliberately hiding stuff in order to cover up their own wrong-doing. With big businesses now being involved in politics so much, people are a lot more wary about blindly trusting. They've been bitten far too often before so they want to know what is going on.
It's a good thing. It means that people in power are held accountable for their actions when using that power, and they must answer to the people who give them that power so that they don't abuse it. Also, it means that people are interested in how their country is being ran, because they now know a lot more about the process and the world itself - about how other countries fare in comparison to their own. Of course if they see people in other countries better off than they are, they're going to look at those in power to explain why that is.
Younger people are learning and aren't willing to just let people dictate their lives. They want to be in control of their own fates and feel restricted by the idiocy that those in charge shit out. Kids learn about science, about how the environment is being harmed by detrimental practices. They see how the government - old men who have a strangle hold on their future - ignore the signs and the truth and of course they want to know what is being done to stop the negative shit from occuring.
They're not blind to the consequences like those in the past were. Their eyes are open to how little their leaders can be trusted, because they learned in school the histories where said rulers fucked up. Kids aren't stupid. They demand to know so they can choose properly their own representatives. They demand the right to not just blindly follow in their parents' footsteps and vote the same as the rest of the family did for the last 50 years.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the younger generation brings because it's bound to be better than what we have now, and part of that will be the removal of backroom politics and, I hope, a much clearer and open-handed view into the process and laws being passed. And if we have to deal with some riots and protests to get there, I'm all for it. Sometimes people feel the only way they can be heard is through the anger of their voices - because the old are hard of hearing and like to just ignore.
I, for some reason, thought Miiverse was a Wii U only thing until I just now accidentally tapped the Miiverse icon on my 3DS.
Took me long enough. doesn't it always
now if you'll excuse me I'll go look at amazing drawings and ignore literally everything else on there.

The internet can take you to some pretty crazy places. At first I was looking up a movie and I wound up finding pictures of a druggie who cut his own abdomen open and pulled his guts out.
Apparently he survived.
Say no to drugs.

At around 21 Tonnes that's about half of FOAB, so yeah, a bomb was dropped. The images you can now see in the daylight are devastating. The fact only 50 people are confirmed dead is a miracle.
Me and my room mate just watched Attack of the Clones, the worst of the Star Wars prequels. The high point of the movie?
This robogirl, who's pretty fucking hot. She's beautiful. She's the only good thing in the movie.
Sorry if nobody wants to hear it or w/e, but I'm buzzed and I want to get it off of my chest.

The only Star Wars prequel I remember is the last of the trilogy. I remember bits of the first one (namely the hover races), but I don't remember the second one at all.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh it's going to go up, but given the force of the explosions, if there had been residential areas closer to the port the toll would have been astronomical.

I couldn't find a clean Futurama clip, so here's an AMV instead.
The private sector and corporate interest is a lot more worrying than the government, which is what makes right wing parties notably dangerous in comparison to left wing.
The senate of America has veto'd so many things with enough public support, ultimately, a lot of the government is on side with the people, if they weren't, the TPP, SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, or CISA bills may easily be in place.

it looks fine in firefox, but from your screenshot you are using chrome, and chrome is pretty bad at reliably rendering things.
The issue is that the Important notice is too long and it is bumping things to the next line in Chrome
I will shorten the topic title.
