WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Thinking about high poly sculpting in ZBrush for class.

Seriously, don't even know why I fucking bother trying to do anything in this fucking class, with this god forsaken time vampire project in an eldritch abomination of a program. Week after week, it's nothing but a fucking waste of time dicking aroundon making some stupidly high detail (or at least, it would be if I could figure out how anything in ZBrush fucking worked) character while I could be working on something that's actually useful or fulfilling to me.

Instead I had to play fetch with fucking garbage **Industry Standards** for graphics, whatever good they ever fucking did anything, I don't know.

I have about two weeks left, I'm nowhere near being done, so I'm probably gonna fail this class. Again. Good thing my apartment lease is till October, cause I'll probably be stuck in this shithole of a city attending this trashheap of a school till then, sucking all my parent's money out of the bank so I can wave around some shitty diploma later on.

And honestly, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that every other pig in my class really excels at this thing. I guess that means I'm some kind of mouthbreathing moron, either that or I don't have Naughty Dog's "excellence" welded to my fucking brainstem hard enough like everyone else.

I shouldn't realistically get so mad about it, but it's hard to be cool about shit when you already have anger issues, and then you spend months on end being subjected to nothing but misery, disappointment and frustration.

I feel like I could throw up, or that I could cry, but I've become so numb to everything that those things don't even occur to me anymore. If I could feel anything then maybe it would be scary too, I don't know. Just been nothing but piss offs ever since I woke up this morning.

i wish we had more games that looked like the ps1 FFs......... i love how ff7 looks, and would totally play a game like that, especially if it knocked down the asking price.

I'm thinking about changing careers or at least trying something different for a while. Just because I have a degree in a specific field doesn't mean I can't do other things, especially when there are no librarian jobs out there and I'm losing my passion for it.

It's easy to accidentally misspell a common four-letter word. It's not catching it after you read it once that's worrying. Unless they don't proofread. Which would be dumb.

Pizza: Zbrush is extremely difficult and unintuitive to learn. It's definitely not just you. I've been using it for years and I still sometimes struggle with basic things because its interface is so poorly-designed.

Not experienced with Zbrush but that's kind of how I feel with Maya at least. I think the reason I'm often so reluctant to get into 3D animation and modelling is due to how utterly painful it is to use these programs.

Well, I did have a rather upsetting dream a few nights ago. You know how I'm trying to write a song to thank Libby for getting the Valentine's game out? Well, I dreamed that I had completed this beautiful piece of music and I was just about to present it to the forum, then when I played it back, it was "What A Feeling" from Flashdance. I'm like, "What the fuck, I didn't do this. I can't give the banana princess a rip off." So, I check, and sure enough, I had ripped off "What A Feeling". I went through my files and it turns out every song I wrote was a rip off of a famous, easily recognizable piece.

Suffice it to say, I woke up in a rather rotten mood.

EDIT: Of course, I felt better when I checked and discovered that none of my work were rip offs, and the song I'm working on for Libby most definitely doesn't sound like "What A Feeling".

Always nice to get together with my small immediate family and go on a small road trip.
We were planning on taking a cave tour but we missed its early closure because of the rain around here. Still a very fun day and I needed it :)
