WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

I'm thinking about my Dangan Ronpa forum game that's in the making.
Apparently coming up with unique abilities for 40 different characters is really difficult. Who'd have thunk?

Well, at least you have a very fitting avatar right now!
Maybe just design a few you assume will be used and if one or two are un-expectedly picked, design them during sign-up?

There's a lot more we need to do before we can even think of starting sign-ups, and I don't have a deadline in mind, so it's not like there's a time limit involved. The characters will come to us at some point, I'm sure.
I'm a bit stuck on the implementation of the non-trial phases, though.
Basically, what we want is for every player to have a thread separate from the main thread where they can talk and post actions and stuff. But whenever they are in the same room as another player, those people need to be able to communicate with each other. They mustn't be able to see a backlog of previous posts that happened before they entered the room. One hardcore way of doing this would be to make a quicktopic for every room and every turn of the game.
I don't want to do that, though, because that will quickly derail into hundreds of threads.
Does anyone know a way to do this that doesn't blow up in size very quickly?
Perhaps a website where I can make forums for every room, in which I can then add and boot people from being able to see and post in it at will, and delete all posts whenever the turn ends would be a possible solution.

hmmmm... that's sounds cool but tough to implement jeroen. I can't think of any solution better than the one you proposed

well i killed myself again in mafia. i was excited to play but then i offed myself due to an excessive unhealthy impulse to edit. believe it or not i plan to play for a third time. the idea is i could put a little stickynote on my monitor saying
'edit and you die'
'edit and you die'
You may die a lot, but you still are good to have around. I almost do the same thing everytime, but thankfully I don't.
RIP Fearful, at least he can see the dead chat and witness us!
Jero, I dunno. I think you should definitely at least copy them to a document or something, so after the game we have something to read about all the little things that happened! But for a way to do the thing, I really don't know!

I bet they'll find a new thing to put on the periodic table and all schools will have to buy new ones to put in science classrooms!

I will try to get my team to win the event, yes!
OMG! The name of the thread, lol. I'm half expecting the next one to be "Insert Thread Title here"

Ugh... Liberty, you "gosh darned sillybum".
Also, guys, you're not allowed to talk to each other about mafia outside of the mafia thread as Long as the game is still going on. Don't risk getting modkilled, please.

please excuse any headaches this gif may cause.
i found it in this dark place but it just fit the dimensions and criteria i was looking for perfectly.
anyways the trend of flashing lights kind of died awhile ago and it's to late
but maybe we can bring it back
