Game Design and Theory. It's the Game Design Development forum used to be called until the forums were rearranged about a couple years ago so that the Need Help (I think that's what it was called) forum was split into Help Me! and Jobs. A few other changes had been made, too.

Just google-searched the site for "shinanigans", and I find it hard to believe it was said only once, in 2009, and it didn't even have anything to do with Shinan it seems. This site really needs to step up its pun game.

Now that I have a slightly clearer head, let's see if I can't post something more productive.
For one thing, I'm not reading the initial votes in this thread as "joke-votes". Everyone seemed to come off as rather serious to me. Next, there's Shinan, and his shenanigans. I have no clue what to make of that. Thirdly, there's the argument between CAVE_DOG and MirrorMasq. It's giving me bad vibes all over the place.

Yup, almost. We used to have Announcements, GD&T, and something like "Game Development." This did nothing but split all the gam mak topics. Now we have a prominent site announcements forum and a catch-all "talk about gam mak" forum. I was one of the ones who championed this change, which is why I chastized myself for having to edit "GD&T" to "GD&D."

- Okay in the Welp forum but try not to do it too often else it loses flavour and drowns out everyone elst.
- Okay in your own topic if you have significant progress to show, but wait a few days before doing so.
- Okay if it's been a while and you would like to do a bump-type thing for an issue you're having trouble with or have something new to add to an old topic (for example, say 3 weeks ago you posted what game you were playing in the What Game You Playing? thread and no-one posted between then and now and you're playing a new game).
Basically, don't spam shit and try not to do it too often.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I'm thinking about how badly I want to play Doom 4. But I'll probably not only have to wait until it is on a sale, but also I think my computer won't be able to handle it... I don't do much gaming anymore on PC, most of it is retro or indie stuff. Latest new-ish game I've played was the Tomb Raider reboot and it played fine. But I ran a test for Doom and I don't think I'll be able to run it, even on the lowest setting. So on top of everything now I have to update my PC as well. Bummer. =/

YDS is one of the original members of the site, if not the initial ~30, then soon after. She was prominent at GW too. She's now working on the same game for a really long time and keeps hiring new people to do the pixel art. Or something. I don't talk to her much anymore. Anyway, she faded away with the #shmup crowd.
