What the hell...? I'm not directly pinning calunio on causing murders at all. I thought I made it pretty clear that this is a widespread phenomenon that should be worked on, and more people perpetuating it would only make things worse...you saying that I should be ashamed of accusing him of leading to a transgendered person's death is such an exaggeration of what I'm saying, that I would almost think you were intentionally being dishonest.
Yeah, I figured. That's why I didn't word it "And directly trying to pin the responsibility..." but rather "Trying to pin any kind of responsibility..." As in, indirectly, no matter how tiny. Even simple assertions as "it would only make things worse" are pretty wild, if you ask me... Unless you're sure an author is using a work of fiction as a mouthpiece to spread its backwards ideas, that person cannot be held in any way responsible for what retards do 'inspired' by its work; and even then, I'm not sure how much responsible that person would really be. I'd rather put all the blame on the actual criminals and support policy to help fight actual issues, than complain about words or videogames.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Martin Luther King didn't preach about hatred of racists, he preached about acceptance of blacks. There's a huge, enormous difference.
Everything I know about Birth of a Nation is from its wikipedia page, which is a pretty sterile description, but says it was responsible for the rise of the KKK which is enough for me to believe that it's probably ultra triple racist. Should the filming of movies like that be strongly discouraged? Yes. Should it be prohibited? Absolutely not! The systematic suppression of unpopular ideas is exactly what people like you and me are trying to stop. Once you start allowing the banning of ideas, then more ideas get banned, and then even more. Eventually one of them will be an idea you hold dear. Maybe you've heard this quote?

It's when you apply different standards to different people. My one and only standard so far has been "live and let live" and I don't think I've said anything contradictory to that standard, but if you think I did, please tell me.

That's interesting to me. I don't disagree, but what does this mean for games like Beautiful Escape that feature rape as a gameplay mechanic?

protip: the word "tranny" is as offensive to transsexuals as the n-word is to blacks. you may want to avoid using it.
Also, this kind of "comedy" is pretty bad, because right now there is already a huge amount of misinformation when it comes to transgenders. Imagine how you would feel if someone had told you that "Birth of a Nation" was an inspirational film, and that it should be held as an example for a good and righteous society.

The string you're pulling on is probably a scene, right? A short moment in the whole package? Where as this game here is entirely about sex. It's basically porn for laughs with controls.
