MAFIA: HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI (GAME)

Here's the deal: I'm out for most of the day, so in one hours time I am going to vote Gourd_Clae again unless anyone can convince me otherwise. I can't deny that he is the most suspicious person so far, and I'd rather not be lynched myself because of hesitancy.

Hammer time?

I had to rush my vote as I was out the whole day and knew people would start ganging up on me thanks to Gourd and CAVE_DOG. I do feel partly responsible for our loss though, so I'm very extremely sorry. ;_;

I've learnt a great many things from this game though: the #1 lesson was to not get too emotionally involved in the game (although it didn't help that I've been having the shittiest summer ever so far). I'm definitely going to think with a clearer head from now on. The #2 (slightly dodgy) lesson was that those who are most likely to be Mafia members probably aren't, and vice versa.

Oh, and I just want to say that was a freaking masterclass by CAVE_DOG. Hats off to RMN's best Mafia player by a country mile.

EDIT: One (major) complaint I do have about the game was that we had no idea about the roles/flavours of those that were nightkilled. I feel this severely impacted the Townie's chances of winning as we had very little conclusive information to go on, and as a result 99.99999% of the work involved (possibly over-)analysing players' posts.

EDIT EDIT: Oh, just realised that was CAVE_DOG's power. ...still a bit broken though, honestly!

Yeah, janitor's are pretty wily. Maybe if he could only use his power every other day, or once, or something like that.

I thought that Liberty's reasoning for wanting to kill me was good, but I also thought that I would have acted the exact same way if I was town because I usually like to jump to conclusions, but I really liked the style of what she was doing. I think that Liberty could have been a very big problem for us, but she was replaced by thatbennyguy who is new to the game and I imagine it's little more difficult acting as a replacement as opposed to playing from the start.

edit: Also Mirrormasq, do you think revealing can be good sometimes now? If you had told town who you had roleblocked, there would be no choice but to believe that there was a second roleblocker. We probably would have killed Gourd instead of ivory in that case.

And Marrend, I obtained so much angst from you blocking me!

I don't think I picked up on your bread-crumbing at all. So, when CAVE suggested that I block you that first night, I was literally, "I could block Gourd or MirrorMasq. I don't think it really matters who." Evidently, it did matter!


Anyway, I've learned some things:

1) Being mafia is hard! My usual routine is to only be aggressive unless I know something. I tried to be true to that, but I ended up posting less. Not to mention that mess-up in the end. Though, it didn't help that half the action of the thread seemed to happen while I was asleep.

2) CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK can totally wreck the game if you let him.

3) It's not a healthy reaction to feel nauseous after somebody calls you out, is it? Even now, I'm feeling a bit queasy from rabitZ's post.

4) "It's a game of the mind." This line was echoing through my head the entire game.
