In all seriousness, I have zero creativity when it comes to puzzles, and while I don't see anything specifically that says "no scripts," it kind of fits in with no database.
Maybe I'll see if any ideas hit me in the next couple days though.

It's not a lack of idea problem for me. I had all kinds of ideas swimming in my head.
My problem was real life :| Too much going on to devote time to learning a new engine (I've never used XP/VX either).

"I'm a big babby and I don't how to puzzle waaaahh" is what I voted for.. but then I did one anyway because I stole puzzle ideas from a game I'm currently playing.
Someone should do one of the old Pokemon boulder-pushing puzzles where you have to clear a path to the exit. Those were pretty fun and are really easy to make, even if you don't know anything about VX Ace.

I didn't know this was going on. Which is pretty strange, since I visit the rmn often.
I would have been interested in making a puzzle, and then I probably would have changed my mind when I saw this is on Ace.

The event has been extended a week, but we still only have 1 submission (Gibmaker is an all-star). Why?
please don't take this personally or too seriously. I just want puzzles
EDIT:
The engine is not an excuse (it never was in previous BQs either). The 30 day trial of VX Ace is longer than the event duration.
just extended to a month, maybe someone is working on a highly advance puzzle that required a great amount of time.
I would have tried.... but I am more of the gamer than the game maker. I haven't done any kind of legitimate programming in YEARS.

All you game makers out there... literally just work on a simple puzzle and submit it. Mine took about 3-4 hours (OK, maybe more), but it doesn't require much time and effort, maybe just 1/4 of your weekend. Which is worth it being immortalized in the Befuddle Quest HALL OF FAME. There. Have I got you excited yet?
Also, you still got like one week to make something. If only to stop kentona from going into manic depressive mode, and no-one wants that, do they? DO THEY? Now get moving, soldiers! Let's move, move, move!

I would probably have entered if the engine was XP, but VX ACE, nope.
