CloseIf any of you are familiar with the forum SomethingAwful, they have a very famous board (one among the dozens that they have) dedicated to a little something called Let's Play, where the topic creator picks a game, and plays through it while either taping his experience on video, or in lieu of that, he gives a screen by screen experience of whatever game he's playing with commentary until he beats it. A Let's Play can be in any format, whether it's YouTube, the players personal site, or the message board itself. To get an idea of what a Let's Play is like, check this one out.

Quite the contrary, because Let's Play (s) can be fun as hell, especially if the player is funny, witty, and knows the game. Sure, why not? Try it for I Wanna Be the Guy, or something. Or maybe you can do a Let's Play for an RPG Maker game, like A Blurred Line.

Well...I for one would be interested in seeing you do one of these!
It may sound a tad strange, but I enjoy looking at videos on Youtube (since that is the only real good place I can find for these videos) that have people playing through a game. It's usually an NES or SNES title, but I enjoy it all. Such things as boss fights, a playthrough, etc. Things like that.
But yeah, I'd be interested in seeing this. :)

Well, I'd only be able to make things like bosses and such in video form in the Let's Play because of my lack of a microphone. The bulk of it would be through a topic on the forums.

Yeah, I'm ready to do this like...right now. I just want to make sure you know, people are actually interested. This takes a lot of work on my part, so it'll be pretty hard to be motivated to see this topic gets like, 6 replies and 139 views.

Well, after looking at it (that took long, didn it? ;) ) I would have to say...Romancing SaGa. I don't really know, but something about that game makes me want to see someone finish it. Well, really it's tied for me at Romancing SaGa and Final Fantasy 4...but I would have to choose RS.
I hope you get alot of replies, and that enough people stay interested!

Whatever game you know the best, don't mind playing through again (quickly too to avoid long pauses between updates), and that you can give the best presentation.

Well then, since so many people also voted for Final Fantasy IV...I guess I'll change my vote to that too! Ha ha. So then change me over. I ALSO go for FF IV.

If I wasn't working on RM projects, I'd do one myself.
Voting Earthbound/ Shadowrun. Though I'd prefer if you did more obscure games, since that's part of the magic of LP's.
If you need guest commentators.. well I'm really busy right now, but I'll be less busy around mid-August. But I still wholeheartedly support this effort.

Until I get a microphone, RPGs are the easiest to do with a text based message board format.
I'll vote Romancing Saga. Mainly because it's the only one on that list I haven't played and beaten, besides Shadowrun.
Right now it's looking like FF4 is gonna clinch it. Unless the votes change by tomorrow, that's what it's going to be. However, if this first Let's Play goes well, I'll do the others as well.
