I know, right? Like, if only we had some kind of a field where we could type a person's name, and -poof- the information shows up...
That 9 year old girl makes an RPG kickstarter was some seriously well done internet beg by Susan Wilson.
She bobbed and weaved through genuine criticism, a shady past, a blatantly sexist (anti male) narrative, and hundreds and hundreds of people reporting the project as a violation of terms.
Yet, somehow, she convinced Kickstarter to delete dissenting posts, and even got Dell and MIT on board with her... um... project.
So then it became not about sending her to camp, but paying for her future college tuition, or something. Nobody really knows. But Susan is a genius at this stuff, I have to give her that. Hiding behind a 9 year old girl: invincibility shield.

Why does the medical system not work anymore? Too many lawyers (you have to have insurance to cover the costs of any operation, meaning a donated heart costs as much as a house, when no actually it's free).
Why is housing so expensive? Too many lawyers (people have the choice to sue for damages for structure, but it's expensive and a gamble, so instead they make you put down a deposit).
Why is education so expensive? Too many lawyers (people borrow money and such, and this drives the prices up... well no, you can't blame this one on lawyers. But you can blame it on accountants)
Why is it not safe to be a tourist here? Too many lawyers (if you commit any crime or make someone mad enough to sue, you're basically in for it).
Why is it not really a free state anymore? Too many lawyers (and accountants and bureaucrats).
Also, seriously. If someone wants to fund someone else's life, a good site should not have laws against it.

...but, what is driving the need for lawyers? There wouldn't be so many lawyers if people didn't want so many lawyers.

Hey JustRob, obviously you are bashing all the crap projects on Kickerstarter and rightfully so, but why don't you just make your own on a sight like that. Honestly, this topic which did contain some interesting replies, but it really could have been a cluster fuck of pointless posts.
I'm sure that not all of the "shit" projects on there were intended to be that way. So really, maybe you should try it yourself before you become so negative because I'm sure there has to be more to it. Again, not sticking up for kickstarter or anything, just playing playing devils adivcate
