I wish I could fund, but I'm underage. Anyway, I LOVE THIS!!! AHHH!
What is the future of this project if the Kickstarter doesn't work out?
If the kickstarter fails, I'll probably continue working on it in my free time, improving on the project and the concept of it based on feedback, and perhaps trying another kickstarter or other fundraising campaign sometime next year. I definitely don't want to give up on this project, and if the community and features continue to improve between this campaign and the next one, I have high hopes that I'd have a better chance succeeding the next time around! I've even been getting some community contributions to the editor, and that'll definitely help keep the project going!

Haha yeah, unless the systems are very similar and compatible, allowing the player to change battle systems is just asking for trouble!

On another note, here's a quick test of using the map editor with 16x16 tiles (using the tiles from Orange Engine):

I'll want to zoom in the tileset selector (and walkability arrows need work), but for the most part it works great!

It is the same tileset size as 2003 yet looks much better. I cant wait till this is done. Too bad I am broke or I would donate some money to ya...

It's good to hear that you want to keep going even if the kickstarter should fail. This project has a lot of potential, and I'd love to support it, but I feel there's a bit too little "meat on the bone" for the project so far. I like the looks of it, and the use of haxe and export possibilities are really great, but I'll be awaiting some more details before I commit to it myself. Best of luck! :)
Hi guys! I just found this project and it reminds me STRONGLY of my own project, which I started on Sourceforge(https://sourceforge.net/projects/maper/) in 2011 :)

Hey terran0va, maybe you can get some help from my project? I find it very fun how similar it looks XD

For those of you interested, I'm still working on this and hoping to get a demo version up by the end of the year, and hopefully start another kickstarter campaign next year. I've also been posting frequent development updates to the forums, so feel free to check that out!

One update I posted recently that I think you'll be interested in is the ability to import RPGMaker 2000/2003 maps. This is not a feature-complete import, but with some work in the plugin, it could easily become one. You can read more about that (with a screenshot) here: http://rhythos.com/forum/index.php?page=topicview&id=development-updates%2Fplugins-import-from
