MILLER'S HOLLOW MAFIA - GAME THREAD
Posts
So if the doublevote isn't the best idea right now, then what's your plan for sheriff, Liberty? Were you thinking of the same thing you proposed at the beginning of the game?
I was, actually, though it would be hard to enforce. All it takes is the Sheriff jumping on a bandwagon and boom - another lost townie (though, yes, it could also mean a dead werewolf, but currently there's no really good leads).
Basically we need to be very sure about who we vote for. We can be sure that it'll be hard to find that last werewolf due to them being the last one. We have a one in eight chance of getting them which means that unless we're very lucky or very good at reading the signs, we may mislynch.
Frankly, I think this day should be the one where everyone is pressured to talk. We have a lead on the werewolf clan, so pressure should be applied to everyone to at least talk more. The last day was very quiet bar a few moments, and town can't afford to let anyone just glide under the radar.

And by lead, I mean there are significantly more town than werewolf - we outnumber him/her 7 to 1, so we should make sure each and every one of us actually talks so that we can get a feel for each other. No hiding, biding and lurking.
Well, out of those who voted last night, I'm getting the feeling there wasn't any werewolf ploys and votes, it just doesn't seem plausible. Which leaves us with Happy, Gourd_Clae and wildwes. I think wildwes is indeed bad at this game and is town, so it's a toss up between Gourd and Happy for me...
I'm leaning toward Gourd myself.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Also, Jeoren, is the random election rule still standing, where you'll choose a sheriff for us if we don't? I'd imagine yes, but just checking.
It certainly is still in effect, yes.
No, Kyrsty, I don't think so. I think Gourd is town.
I'm still up in the air about you, though. But it's nice to see you participating. Let's see if we can get the others to talk as well, shall we?

Care to elaborate why it leaves me? I did vote, if you actually take a look at the previous day and if Jeroen Sol would too.
Also I'm against lynches without reason, so I'll elaborate my Trihan lynch soon enough, but please start paying more attention to the game.

In all seriousness, questions should, as always, be raised of those who did not vote for the prime suspect. Not that they are VERY DEFINITELY werewolves simply for not voting for the right person (otherwise I would be VERY DEFINITELY werewolf myself), but their reasoning is always important. What're your thoughts: Liberty, Gourd, Wildwes, maybe Happy?
Also, I think we're giving wildwes too much doubt just because he doesn't seem like a great Townie. Maybe he isn't a great Werewolf either? He DID outright no-lynch last time.
I didn't vote to lynch anyone because I was unsure of who to lynch. I could have voted to lynch kyrsty, but it would have been pretty useless by that time since almost no one else were doing so. In retrospect, I'm kind of glad I didn't vote to lynch her because due to her voting for Trihan (who turned out to be scum) she seems a bit more town. Plus, Trihan voted for her, which further contributes to her town-iness.
As for now... well, I dunno. I don't see anyone who screams I'M A WEREWOLF and I'm starting to learn that bandwagoning on whoever seems kind of scummy isn't the best idea. I'll... wait a bit on this one.

Well, as always, I said why I voted for who I did. I'll retrieve that post for Ym but in the meantime, Liberty doesn't seem scum to me and I was voting against Wildwes despite it being useless because that is honestly who I thought was scum at the time (and still do think is scum.) Happy is on Kyrsty's list whose scumdar I think is busted this game so for that reason I say, er.... probably not. A better place to examine the votes would be at the end of the list against Trihan as scum who don't want to look suspicious would probably be the ones to hammer a fellow scum. We know this didn't happen here however, so working our way through the people who voted against Trihan backwards, we come to Kyrsty and then YM. Like I said before I don't think Kyrsty is scum though in light of this I'd very possibly be closer to lynching her. And YM has been on my suspicious list since he lead a bandwagon on Cave for very little reason and didn't give Cave much of chance to defend himself when Cave even said he didn't understand the accusations against him.
So, in my eyes, the potential scum are Kyrsty, Wes, and YM. That would be in increasingly scummy order.

Frankly, I wasn't convinced that Trihan was mafia and didn't think the arguments put forth were damning enough to lynch him. Then real life intervened and by the time I got back the day was over.
I still think Kyrsty is a decent candidate for werewolf, but it's mainly gut and some suspicious posts which I've already shared/explained, but others have written off.
Also, who's to say that the werewolf in our midst didn't vote to lynch Trihan? It would be a very deliberate move on their part - to seem innocent in case that ship did go down. Granted, it's a very risky move, but if it grants an 'alibi' it'd be worth a shot, yes?
That said, I'm feeling suspicious towards Kyrsty and wes, though I will have to go back through the thread again and gather proof/recheck everything that's been said and not been said by certain peeps before I decide to vote a lynch today.
Kyrsty, I've explained. Wes... is doing a really bad job being inconspicuous but maybe he is a bad werewolf? I might revise my suspicions after another thread read. :/

Well, I'm in favor of lynching Wes. Like I said earlier, he's voting people for reasons that aren't his own and it seem s to me that Wes is using other people's logic so that if he makes a mistake he can blame the person who actually thought about it. I think this was pretty evident when I asked him to explain Kyrsty's fallacies of logic, and he said I'd have to take it up with Cave.
I do, however, believe him when he says he's bad at this game. I just think that he's a bad mafia member.
#Lynch Wildwes
This was my reasoning against Wes.
Back to my YM theory, being scum could be part of the reason he wanted to know who was the Seer so badly.

Not really, though. They could have been partners hoping to avoid connection by voting for each other in the hopes that if one were lynched, the other would be alibi'd by that lynch vote.
Not sure if I believe that is what happened, but it is a possibility. Seeing some of the past mafia games, I don't think many moves would surprise me.
Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if Adon turned out to be werewolf, bar the fact that we know there's a Witch and no-one has counter-claimed him. Which is why he's one of the few I know we can trust to be town.
@Gourd: Yeah, that post you made did make me more suspicious of Wes, because as you say, he may very well be a bad werewolf. Especially if Dudes and Trihan weren't around to guide him very well (and we know that Dudes was awol for most of the first day, while Trihan didn't say much, really.)
One of the reasons I'm pushing for people to talk - so we can get a better read of them, their arguments and style of play. Town would talk, so any lurkers become suspicious for seemingly hiding.

Liberty, I know that them being partners and voting for each other is a POSSIBILITY, I just think that it's very unlikely that they would do that so late in the game and with so few of them left. Maybe they WOULD do something like that, but it just doesn't seem like they would.
Then again, I've never played as a mafia member before (yes, that includes this game), so maybe I don't know the kinds of things they do. So whatever then. Maybe she IS scum. Maybe she ISN'T. Could you please tell me why you're still suspicious of her ?

I think it's been elaborated hundreds of times why no-lynching does more harm to the villagers than the good. At the very least you could have assisted in the bandwagon...although maybe that would have made you look more like a Werewolf. But then, why would you care what you looked like as long as you were innocent?

I wanted to know who the Seer was so badly? I said, like, one line, something along the lines of "This is getting tedious. Where on Earth is the Seer...". Flimsy argument that's almost grasping at straws. +100 suspicion points.
Also, you're gonna have to use a better argument than the one about me being leading a bandwagon on CAVE. By that logic, CAVE should have been a Werewolf.
@YM Considering the Seer didn't have to tell anyone their identity, you getting even mildly annoyed by not being able to figure out who Seer is could be interpreted. Also I like how trying to logically conclude who mafia is while also allowing you to defend yourself makes me suspicious.
Um, Cave didn't lead a bandwagon on himself did he? What I was getting at is that considering Cave is sheriff he presumably should've been killed by mafia earlier than he was - so they probably opted to attack MM (we know that didn't happen) and then would try to get Cave killed the following day which you tried to do.
