MILLER'S HOLLOW MAFIA - GAME THREAD

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

What is mafia?
Roles & Rules
Before the game begins, each player is sent a PM assigning him or her a role. The contents of the PM cannot be shared with other players. All roles are assigned randomly. There are two basic types of roles that you can get: Town and Werewolf
Town
If you are part of the town, then your objective is to stay alive and try to find out who the scum are. Since you cannot communicate with other players outside of this thread, you must work together and weed out who is lying and who is not.
Werewolves
The werewolves, on the other hand, have a significant advantage over the town. They can communicate with other mafia members outside the thread during night phase. During the night, they can come together, discuss, and kill a townie. If all goes according to their plan (which it might not), then that townie will be dead -thus cannot post or vote- for the rest of the game.
If all Werewolves are killed, then The Town Wins!
If enough Town-aligned people are killed that the amount of Werewolves is greater than or equal to the amount of Town-aligned people, The Mafia Wins!
Game Structure:
The game starts out in something called a day phase. In this phase, all players who are not dead may participate in discussion as well as vote for who gets lynched (note that you can also vote for no one getting lynched). The day phase will continue until a set deadline has passed or when deciding vote is reached.
Once the day phase is finished, the night phase begins. No one may talk in the thread during this phase, meaning that only players with night actions play a significant role. Night actions are abilities possessed by special roles that can be used to alter the game during the night phase. All night actions, including the Werewolves' kill, will be sent to me via PM(unless otherwise stated). Once the night phase deadline is reached or when all actions are sent in, I will PM everyone involved with their results and then a new day phase will begin. If anyone dies, then that person will be revealed.
Rinse and repeat until the game is over...
The Rules:
1. VOTING: Voting should look like this:
#Lynch Jeroen_Sol or #NoLynch
And if you wish to change your vote, first cancel your first vote like this:
#Cancel
It needs to be bold and with a # in front of it, to make it easier for me to make vote counts.
Election votes look like this: #Elect Jeroen_Sol.
#Vote Jeroen_Sol is ambiguous in this game and should not be used.
Hammer rule applies in this game, meaning that once a majority vote is reached that person is lynched and the day phase ends. When time runs out, whoever has the most votes against him is lynched. In case of a tie, one of the people making up that tie is chosen at random. #Nolynch is possible, but only if it receives the most votes.
2. PARTICIPATE: It's not too fun when half of the players are always missing in action and only have a few posts. Try to post a few times during each day phase and contribute to the discussion in some way. This is also very important for the town's survival. If you don't participate, you are at high risk of being modkilled or replaced.
3. DON'T CHEAT: Although it'd be difficult for me to find out, just don't do it anyway. You'd be ruining the fun of the game. And if I DO find out...
4. IF YOU ARE DEAD, STAY DEAD: This game does not involve zombies. If you die, then don't post anymore. You can still cheer on your team/partner from the sidelines, though. I will make a separate "dead lounge" where dead players can chat (without revealing anything!).
5. EDIT RULE: NEVER EVER EDIT POSTS. If you think your post has awful grammar, just make a new one to correct it.
The cards
Yes, all cards are known to everybody. This is because everyone who's played Werewolves of Miller's Hollow knows the cards in it, which would lead to unfair advantages over those who haven't. Note that it was not necessary or possible for me to include every single card in Werewolves of Miller's Hollow in this game. This is merely an overview of all the cards in Werewolves of Miller's Hollow. I may or may not also have added additional roles not in the original game.

Wikipedia
Mafia (Russian: Ма́фия, also known as Werewolf) is a party game created in the USSR by Dimitry Davidoff in 1986, modelling a battle between an informed minority (the mafia) and an uninformed majority (the townspeople). Players are secretly assigned roles: either mafia, who know each other; or townspeople, who know only the number of mafia amongst them. In the game's night phase the mafia covertly "murder" a townsperson. During the day phase, all of the surviving players debate the identities of the mafia and vote to eliminate a suspect. Play continues until all of the mafia have been eliminated, or until the mafia outnumber the townspeople. A typical game starts with seven townspeople and two mafiosi.

Villager x 13:
You are a Villager!

Arguably the hardest and most important role to play, you will have to depend on your skills of deduction to find and hang all the Werewolves. You have no powers, but Miller's Hollow would be lost without you!
You win when all Werewolves are eliminated.

You win when all Werewolves are eliminated.
Werewolf x 4:
You are a Werewolf!

The previous Werewolf has infected you with lycanthropy, and your urge to kill has grown over the past month. Even in human form, you cannot wait to slaughter all the Townspeople! At night, all Werewolves come together and kill a Townsperson together.
You win when the Werewolves outnumber the Townspeople.

Cupid x 1:
You are Cupid!

On night one, you may choose two people to shoot with your arrows. These people will fall in love. When either of the two dies, the other commits suicide because of grief. If both are Town-aligned, their win condition will not change, except both have to be alive at the end of the game. If both are Werewolves, the same applies. If one is Town-aligned, and the other is a Werewolf, they will have to kill everyone else, for neither the Townspeople nor Werewolves will accept such a pairing. You may choose yourself to be one of the lovers. After night one, you will become a Villager, but you will still flip Cupid upon death.
You win when all Werewolves are eliminated.

Witch x 1:
You are the Witch!

The Villagers look down on you, but they don't realize how important you are for their survival! Afraid of the words of the previous Werewolf, you have brewed two potions in the previous month. You have only one of each, because of how difficult brewing them is.
One is a potent medicine, that can revive those who are killed by the Werewolves. It only works for a short time after death, though. As long as you have the medicine, you are told the victim of that night's killing, and can then choose to either let that person die or save them. If you choose to let them die, you cannot ever revive them anymore, but will keep your medicine.
The other is a strong poison, capable of killing anyone. You may choose to use it during any night phase, on whomever you please. You may also choose not to use it.
You win when all Werewolves are eliminated.

Two extra Villager cards have been shuffled into the role assignment. This means there are two cards without an owner. On night one, you may choose one of the two undefined cards, and will take on that character for the rest of the game. You will seize to flip Thief on death when you take on another character, and will flip whatever card you chose instead.
If you choose a Town-aligned card, you win when all Werewolves are eliminated.

Sign-ups flavor
"The story of our city, Miller's Hollow, has been passed on from father to son, mother to daughter for 30 generations. When our grand city was no more than a little hamlet, it was threatened by one of its inhabitants, who, after a run-in with the wolf spirit in the near forest, was cursed to lose his sanity and became victim of the illness called Lycanthropy. Every 28 days, when the full moon shone brightly at night, he would lose conciousness to turn into a black wolf. At that moment, he would roam the city, and would only turn back into a human being after having slaughtered one of Miller's Hollow's citizens. This continued for a certain amount of months, after which, one full moon, the villagers were able to wound the werewolf during the night, cutting off one of his paws. The wounded werewolf fled into the forest. The next day, a town meeting was organized. Only one villager, the woodworker, did not attend. When the town was searched for him, he was eventually found at home, lying in bed, clutching the bloody stump where his right hand had once been. The werewolf was immediately brought to the town square and hanged, but not before uttering a curse. 'When I am gone, the moon will freeze and shine down on you in full glory each night. My blood now runs through several of you, and by the next full moon, my legacy will be passed on, my work completed by those who you believe to be your friends...' After the townsfolk hanged the werewolf, everything was quiet for a month, until someone died... again. And as the woodworker had prophesized, the next few nights the moon continued to be full. The villagers, unable to discover who the new werewolves were, decided to tie one of their children to the gallows on the town square each, where they were slaughtered by the werewolves. When only the daughter of the sheriff was left, he decided to lie in wait at night and try to unmask and kill the werewolves..."
Night 0 flavor
The villagers gathered around the town square. The rooster had crowed thrice, and the villagers had the most ominous gut feeling of what they were about to see... When they got to the town square, they saw the sheriff's daughter still tied to the gallows, her head chewed open, and her chest empty, having served as a meal for the werewolves. The sheriff was found not too far away, in much the same condition. After a proper burial, the townspeople came together, and decided the only way to eradicate the werewolves would be to kill them in human form. Every day, the villager most likely to be a werewolf would be hanged. The first thing they had to do, however, was choose a new sheriff. The previous sheriff had a lot of authority, and his word would be final when deciding what to do with criminals. However, the villagers knew the person they elected could be a werewolf, so he would have to settle for a vote that counted twice for now...

Day 1 flavor
The villagers argued back and forth until nightfall. Old rivalries and bad blood rose to the surface as people accused each other of being a werewolf. The villagers waited until the end of the day with electing a sheriff, trying to find loopholes in the voting system all the way through, annoying the game master to no end, and two factions formed. One group of people wanted to bury all the sheriff had stood for and lock the double-voting power away, while the other group wanted to use it. Eventually someone was chosen, who had a clear idea of who was going to be the first to be hanged. Many agreed with him. They only realized the mistake they had made when he voluntarily walked up to the gallows, put the noose around his neck, and kicked the stool away from underneath him. Watching the suicide unfold in horror, all of the villagers concluded the man could not have been a werewolf. It was simply impossible.

They warily made their way to town square, and saw they had forgotten to take down the body of the man they had driven to suicide the day before. His body was ripped to pieces. The villagers gathered and immediately turned their attention to their sheriff. 'You led us into lynching the wrong person!' More and more people started to agree they had to lynch their sheriff next, until he calmly pointed to another villager. 'He's the one you seek.' The unfortunate villager was immediately hanged. At first, the villagers were unsure if the villager was a werewolf or not, but just before he died, he let out a great howl, and his eyes turned blood-red. This man was definitely a werewolf.

The moment the townies gathered around the body of last night's victim, one of them immediately pointed at another. 'He's the one. He stole my identity!' He calmly responded, but the sheriff grabbed him and pulled him towards the gallows. After he had been hanged, the one remaining female villager ran up to him and took his lifeless body from the noose. Crying, she grabbed a knife from underneath her skirt, and before anyone could stop her, plunged it into herself. Only two villagers remained at that time, watching in horror as two dead bodies were lying in front of them. Night started to fall. 'Well...', the sheriff said, 'at least it's over now.' He looked at the last remaining villager, and was shocked to see his eyes light up red. His face started to show canine features as his mouth grew and black hair started to cover it. With a voice, twisted by the changing head of the werewolf, he said: 'Yes... Everything is over now... for you.' He let out a howl, and killed the shocked sheriff. In the end, the woodworker had gotten his revenge, and the townspeople had been eradicated...

About Cupid:

About Witch:

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Chana, who was Little Girl, was killed night 0!
About Little Girl:

In the night, the Little Girl can watch the Werewolves as they go about their business. When the Werewolves catch her peeking, they immediately slaughter her. (Removed due to incompatibility with Forum Mafia and general brokenness)
Day 1 will end at noon GMT Summer Time on July 8th, that's in four days.
Because there is no sheriff at the time, you can use electionvotes, like so: #Elect Jeroen_Sol.
You can also use lynchvotes, like so: #Lynch Jeroen_Sol. Do not use #Vote Jeroen_Sol, as it is ambiguous in this game.
Always use Bold and a # to mark a vote, or I might end up missing it in a votecount!
Day 1 votecount, as of July 4th 12:00 GMT Summer Time:
Not voting: Zeuzio, MirrorMasq, wildwes, Yellow Magic, Trihan, CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK, Dudesoft, Liberty, Gourd_Clae, Adon237, Happy, SorceressKyrsty, PlatinumAshes
With 13 players alive, and no sheriff, it takes 7 people to hammer. If no majority vote is reached by the end of the day, whoever has most votes will be lynched. A tie will result in a random pick between the people who are tied. #Nolynch will only occur if it has most votes. If no sheriff is chosen by the end of the day, I will pick one randomly on the dawn of day 2.
Also, I am aware I started this on the 4th of July. Methinks it should not affect the game too much.

So...how's Dudesoft going to die tonight, hmm?
'Course he might not die overnight and in that case he's a werewolf. Maybe. I don't know. I'm the first post. I don't know what that means either.

Yeah, I found that very suspicious. At first I thought he would have died on night 0 or something, but Chears and Chana did...? We also have to choose a sheriff, that's an important decision, don't want to give it to the wrong hands!
edit: I don't think first post is a big deal.

Getting a bit rusty with mafia, Adon?
Am I missing something, or did I not read something right? Why are you guys expecting Dudesoft to die?

So we need to pick someone to be Sheriff this time around? I don't think I've played one with that condition. It's interesting.
yeah, it's a good thing that DAY 1 lasts until the 8th, I can feel not everyone will be in the discussion today. :) I think the elect method is what we are supposed to use to choose sheriff?
I kind of want to make CAVEDOG sheriff, but I have no idea whether he is mafia or not.

OH YEAH, LET'S DO THIS! Or not for me, at least for a few hours! XD Why'd this game have to start on the fourth, HUH? I'll be back, though. I promise!
And yeah, in the first few games Duds played he died on night 1 errytime haha.

Well, I suppose we should pick someone for sheriff... but who...? We don't really know who to trust... Well, I guess I'll wait and see...

in the signup thread, he mentioned something.
It happens nearly every game, lol
So, did I miss something? Is there a reason MrChears and chana died already? Wasn't the sign up sheet froogle enough without dwindling our sizes? Or did they have irl shit, like theyellowjester_ and Aquaxranox in Cavedog and my thread?

Probably because they never signed up for this one! :D
