Ahaha ok, so what was the original Chinese one you were planning on saying that came up with "couple return" instead? xD
omg simplified chinese my eyyyeeesss urgh x_X
I'm not an old man! D: And certainly not a male as well.
If you're having problems with the translator, can't you just type English with your keyboard yourself..?

Google translate from Chinese to English is awful! :P It kept using Uncle as a translation. Hopefully it isn't as bad going the other way. I have to find another option if I am going to continue with this ...
Same issues with Microsoft translator (why so much uncle). At least it translated the topic title as "Novice in return I'm Chinese" instead of "Novice reward I am Chinese!". The one you're using must be even worse!

Mind if I help with the translation?
1) (for edchuy) 我还是打中国话吧,翻译器实在翻译不出我的意思。
大叔,你还是用翻译器翻译我的中文字吧。电脑翻译好差劲。
每次给人带来不干净的话。实在对不起。我只能打中文字。
In summary, it means, "I think I better type in Chinese. The translator doesn't express the exact meaning that I wanted to say."
"Sir, you had better use the translator to translate my Chinese words instead." (Which I'm sure you've figured out by now that it doesn't work...)
"Every time I use the translator, it types out unclean words. Very sorry for that. I'll just type Chinese words."
2)
"Sir, you're mistaken. there are problems with the translation. It's not 夫妇的回报 (something to do with husband/wife...). It's A newbie has arrived! I'm a Chinese." (which is the title of this thread.)
----------------
Reading the rest of his Chinese posts, all of them basically mean the translator doesn't work well for him (inaccurate and such) and so he will just type in Chinese. He apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
By the way, ivory, 大叔 does not necessarily mean old man (in fact, it doesn't)...It is more of a term referring to middle-aged man.
EDIT: It's a bad idea to use the Google Translator to translate English to Chinese and vice versa anyway, because the sentence structures of these two languages are completely different. Same goes for Japanese. Best is to use the translator for words and short phrases only.

大叔,你误解了, 翻译器出问题。 不是什么夫妇的回报 是【新手报到 我是中国人】author=edchuy
I think we should watch a bit more of this:

Uh yes it does. You don't go calling people 'hiya middle-aged man' do ya now
There isn't a proper English term that 100% fits 大叔, but the closest is "uncle", which is equivalent to a middle-aged man. I know Western and Eastern cultures differ, but that's how it goes and you can't treat the two as if they are similar. It's definitely not old man, though. Old man could be somewhere along the likes of man in his 60s, 70s, 80s, which is obviously not the case for 大叔.
Thanks a lot for your help, ep. I guess machine intelligence still has a few ways to go before it can match that of humans in understanding languages.
I'm guessing things that got translated as uncle were actually the Chinese word that means "young man" (sok) or "older man" (pak), right?

Again, I didn't mean old man LITERALLY but something someone says as a kind of expression. U can call literally a person in their mid 30s or 40s an old man too. Also uncle is incorrect because u don't actually call ppl in their mid 40s that in english like do you even hear people say 'hey uncle lmao
Let me ask you something, ivy ... Doesn't using "sok" or "pak" depend on whether the man is younger or older than your dad? Sounds silly, but my parents and maternal grandmother just told me how to address people but never explained what the reason was for it.
You know... I tried using Google Translate, and it wasn't that bad. It's better than the crap it gave me before, and I could somewhat understand what he was saying. :P
And Pipi, the girl in my avatar is Vietnamese, not Chinese. XD

Yeah, kentona, it's a secret Chinese mafia conspiracy to take over ... That's why online Chinese-English translators are so crappy! :-X

我不知道怎么写!
我用了一个翻译,而不是!
我道歉,如果这看起来很奇怪!
I'm trying to be multicultural today. I think it would be hilarious if Xuan typed in Chinese in every topic so no one could understand him. It could become a running gag.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=WuMingXuanI thought you were asking if we were willing to let the Chinese language into our website. I think most people who voted "unwilling" were confused like me.
Meaning that foreigners are willing to let Chinese people into your foreign websites?author=alterego
I chose "unwilling" because I don't know exactly what I'd be agreeing to... You know, when in doubt, err on the side of caution. =S
You can stay, but please try to use English. Using an automatic translator is fine.
