I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I swear to god this is from X-Com, even though I just went through the soundtracks of every X-Com game and it wasn't in any of them.
You could replace this with damn near any song in X-Com: Apocalypse and you would hardly be able to tell the difference, though.

It was the name that immediately clicked it in my mind - Tower of the Tarolisk from Skyblazer (I don't know if there's an actual name for the song, but I remember the level). =P
This must've been around the point where I got fed up with identifying these. Searching for tarolisk on YouTube brought it up as the first result, even without Skyblazer mentioned.

And that's that! Unless someone shows up who happens to know what the songs on the unclaimed list are, that's the game! Avee and Marrend tied for 1st, Jeroen just stole 2nd, and everyone else who contributed gets 3rd. Yaaay!!!
I'll be bothering the people who made the SMBX stages with the songs that remain unknown. I'll edit them in as they're found out. Until then, if you want to snatch victory away from the others, the unclaimed list is where to look!

I bet you all thought I forgot about this! WRONG! I just stopped caring for four months!
Anyway, I snooped around with the creators of the stages that used our remaining mystery BGMs. I discovered the following:
Confrontation = Carmeaty Burana - Super Meat Boy
crystal sea = Crystal Sea - Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll
Trial By Fire = Trial By Fire - Sakari Infinity
...but that isn't all the songs, now, is it? Apparently, the developers of SMBX levels don't even know where THEY get their music from.
'dimension2' and 'suspense' were lifted from Backstage, but who knows if they're originals from that game or ripped from somewhere else. Is Max Magee even still around to ask? This same developer used 'Crystal', but doesn't have a clue where it came from.
'Castle1f' and all three Spooky's were downloaded at random from khinsider. They were renamed and had all their details removed, so finding out what they used to be is a needle in a haystack situation.
So...that's it. Unless someone comes along who knows these songs just from hearing them, then it will remain a mystery until the end of time.
