http://rpgmaker.net/events/reviewrim/vote/

The Elder Scribes of RMN: REVIEWRIM has wrapped up and now it is up to you, member of RMN, to cast your vote for your favorite review submitted! There was an AMAZING turnout of reviews (far more than I anticipated when I devised the event and decided that a voting period was a good idea), so you do have some reading to do, but hey these people took the time to play and write it, might as well show the courtesy to read them, right?

Voting closes on Valentine's Day (for you lonely souls out there, Valentine's Day is February 14th). The winner gets an achievement worth 100 makerscore!
I have no idea what reviews are good or not, but I guess I'll read some at random and pick which ones stand out. I may even include a list here of some notable reviews that people should check out. I'm weird that way :I

Edit: calunio's xOMBYCAPYSE review is pretty darn trippy.
I'll give the list a quick run through and post ones which I particularly like. I'll only post one per user, since if anyone wrote a bunch of good reviews it'd be a bit unfair to split their vote and keep them from their shot at winning.

Slashphoenix's review of Ghost Party.

Deckiller's review of Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophesy.

Dyhalto's review of Nebulus.

Calunio's review of xOMBYCAPYSE.

Arandomgamemaker's review of WWF vs. WWF.

Gourd_Clae's review of The Drop.

Thatbennyguy's review of It'll Look Great On Your Resume.

Peticks' Crimson Memories review.

Professor_Q's review of The Vestibule.

SgtMettool's Review of Radiant Chain.

Zacheatscrackers' review of Esper Wing Chronicle.

Unity's review of A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky.

Desertopa's review of Land of Dreams. Yes, I am Desertopa and Desertopa is me, so I can't claim to be the most impartial judge here, but I tried to make this review entertaining, and I'm not so self-sacrificing as to sabotage my own efforts by leaving myself off the list.

NeverSilent's review of 10-Minute Infinite.

Steve_bennett's review of Spirit Legend.

Off the top of my head, the ones I liked most were:

Deckiller's review of Not a Chance of a Ghost

Professor_Q's review of Romancing Walker

Addit's review of Tristan - Lady of the Lion

Desertopia's review of The Logomancer

My own review of Demonic Tutor, or maybe the one for Seer Dell - Dragon?
There are A LOT of good reviews here, though the ones I enjoyed most are:

Ratty524's Enex2 review
Deckiller's The Only One Left review
Dyhalto's Nebulus review
Gourd_Clae's The Drop review (probably the review I was most impressed with; I was GOING to review this game, but the game is so good that I couldn't think of anything to say that would do it justice. Thanks for having the balls to do it for me, dude :p)
unity's A Very Long Rope review

Great job, everyone! I saw a bunch of enthusiasm here, and that's awesome.

My favorite five (well, besides my own) are:

Unity – A Very Long Rope At The Top Of The Sky
thatbennguy – It’ll Look Great On Your Resume
Gourd_Clae – The Drop
Dyhalto – Nebulus
zacheatcrackers – Hero: The Princess Pursuit

There were a lot of good ones, actually. Even Deckiller had a couple of good ones thrown in there!
Decky's review of Terminator 2K3 is really funny, so my vote is going to have to go to that one~<3

Edit: Wow, thanks for the mentions of my review guys, I appreciate it!

How is LittleWingGuy's Wild Universe Review getting no votes?

I'd like to think I had more than a couple of good ones out of 24, bucko!

Edit: my favorite was probably unity's Long Rope.

Lots of stuff to like!

(And I'm both flattered and humbled that two of my reviews got cited here - yes, I did think they were pretty good, but still..)

My picks:

Calunio on xOMBYCAPYSE: Best use of medium. http://rpgmaker.net/games/4545/reviews/2556/

Deckiller on Jay's Journey: Best tribute to an old classic. http://rpgmaker.net/games/4289/reviews/2571/

Desertopa on Land of Dreams: Best critical review. http://rpgmaker.net/games/2271/reviews/2588/

Unity on Depression: Best "hey, I should try this game" review. http://rpgmaker.net/games/4798/reviews/2632/

Gourd_Clae on The Drop: Best descriptive review. http://rpgmaker.net/games/4395/reviews/2550/
I like Calunio's review of xOMBYCAPYSE because it's thoroughly inventive and crazy.

I like Gourd_Clae's review of The Drop because it was highly needed.

I like unity's review of A Long Rope to the Top of the Sky because he decided to play a 50-hour RPG just to review it for an event.

I like LittleWingGuy's Universe review because it looks pretty and I like reading reviews that thrash the game they're reviewing.
So I noticed that the event page does not display voting results when the event is configured to "submit reviews" mode, so I will have to take a look a the site code to figure out what's going on there... but, giving my masterful insight into the site's master database I can get the results. We have a 3-way tie (2 votes each) for winner of the Legendary achievement.

Congratulations to:

Addit - Bam, Zoom – Right To The Moon (Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy Review)
unity - Highs and Lows on the Journey Up the Rope to the Sky (A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky Review)
steve_bennett - An Unexpected Good Time. (Spirit Legends Review)

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read and vote on this, and thanks again to all of the reviewers for making this event a smashing success!

Congratulations, gentlemen!
Thank you so much, I didn't see that coming. There were some really good reviews written. Congrats to everyone who took the time to write them!
Well done, winners. I think if we do this style of voting in future, we should be able to vote for our "favorite reviewer" rather than "favorite review". I think it's unfair that some people had a disadvantage just because they wrote several good (or many) reviews, and people voted for different reviews. It was also very difficult to even see which review we were voting for, especially in Deckiller's case, where there were 24 titles and 24 radio boxes, and none of them lined up.

This is OK, but I guess next time we can think before we create a voting ballot, to try and limit the entries down a bit so people have a more concentrated number of votes. So that we don't have it so that 2 votes win the achievement ;)

I'm okay with voting for my favorite review. However, I would argue that the person who got the most votes between all of their reviews (rather than the review{s} that got the most votes) should have gotten the Legendary achievement. If that makes any sense.

Congrats to the winners, and well done!

We should do this more often. =)
