If you have a gamepage, then making a blog there would work (I think you can make a poll there?)
If it relates to game design, the Game Design and Theory thread would work, as long as you keep in mind that people will use it to talk about the topic itself rather than just your game.

What kind of poll? I doubt it belongs in the forum, though. Do a link to a poll on your gamepage (here's a free poll-maker: http://strawpoll.me/).
I don't recall blogs on gamepages having an option to do a poll. I could have been just plain blind, though.

But yes, at this time, if your poll is your-game specific then you will have to use one of those online poll sites like the one SnowOwl linked and post it in a blog. unity had it spot on if the poll is about general game design - "If it relates to game design, the Game Design and Theory thread would work, as long as you keep in mind that people will use it to talk about the topic itself rather than just your game."

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The actual policy on the Game Design & Theory forum is that you can absolutely use it to ask questions that are specific to your game. Like for example, "I'm thinking of removing experience points from my game, because it has X and Y and Z that seem to remove the need for experience points. Anyone think this is a good or bad idea? Should I do something else instead?"
There was a poll a month or two ago from a guy asking for advice for the title of his game. That was pretty specific! It was also fine.
It's generally appreciated if you can make the topic general enough that it could apply to other games too, though. You will get a lot more discussion if you phrase your questions that way.

Just want to clarify something:
When I'm talking about wanting to post a poll about my game, it's for asking
questions like, what did you like about my game?, or which character did you like
more? Things like that. Is it possible?
