Okay, wow. I was not expecting such a radical change all of a sudden. This is bad beans, guys...

--------------

"Oh, damn it all! Let me guess: This has something to do with that giant monster you mentioned earlier, right?"

Angry and concerned at the same time, I turn towards the mob, Holding my crossbow in front of me, and shout:
"Listen, all of you! If you kill us, you will not gain anything. You will only lose experienced warriors who can help you solve this mess. And I don't want to hurt anyone, but if you try to attack us, I won't hesitate to shoot! Now, explain what exactly the problem is."

Having said that, I step towards the contractor and whisper angrily: "Don't try to deny it, you knew about the horrors locked up down there, and the risks involved. I'm still in your employ and will continue to protect you for now. But once this is over, I promise you're going to be in a world of trouble."
(Happy New Years, y'all! I was planning on mentioning that we should get back to business today, but I was beat to it, it seems. Also yay, out of the ice crystal! Aaaaaand into the angry mob. Um.)

"What? What have we done? I don't know what we've done, but... I promise we shall fix whatever problems may have befallen you due to our actions... speaking of which, what exactly did we do? Also, we ARE going to fix whatever's wrong, right? We must, mustn't we? We should!"
Soooo, we have to wait for Gourd_Clae and JJJ7 to post something before anything else happens, or...?
"Oh... Did that monster get out...?" I say to myself.

I prepare for battle even if I'd prefer not to hurt anyone. I'll only attack if they attack first!

I'd also ask questions but just about everything I'd like to know has been asked!
Looking at Bazily.

"Well considering the huge hole from where we came for, that I'm pretty sure
it wasn't there before, plus the earthquake, I'm gonna go ahead a guess that,
yes, the monster escaped."

I'll be ready for whatever's coming next.
I'm going to repost my action here, just in case no-one noticed:

----------------

The townspeople were angry at us and obviously, we were oblivious as to why. Without waiting, I direct my attention to Haeyuna and I say:

"Wait, what is happening? What do you mean, "what we have done"?"

"Oh, damn it all! Let me guess: This has something to do with that giant monster you mentioned earlier, right?"
Kairy asks, frustrated at the turn of events.
"Yeah, that beast scared the color out of everyone!" A random mob-member yells.
"It could of killed us all!" Another yells.
"You're not getting a cent of that treasure if you don't kill it!" A more boastful one cries.
Kairy, agitated at this statement though realizing they don't plan to kill, only to threaten, she knows she doesn't need to tell them that they shouldn't kill them. Instead she quickly walks over to The Contractor and whispers something angrily at him while Wes hails the crowd.
"Well, I can see why you are all upset, but there's no need for violence! I went in there to kill that beast in the first place! Though, now that I've seen it, I doubt my own strength alone could handle it. However our group here, if we prepare properly and work together, can easily defeat... whatever that thing is."

"You went in there without even knowing what it was!?"
"Come to think of it, we don't even know what it is, and we've seen it!"
"Yeah, who knows what that thing can do..."
"We can't just stand here, we have to fight!"
The blurbs from the crowd annoy Fureira, who yells back.
"Aw, quit your complaining! We're going to kill that thing, and YOU won't have to worry yourselves about it! But if want to actually help, you can help equip us for the battle."

"Who says we're complaining?!"
"Obviously she is... dumbass..."
"Well, like she said, maybe we should supply them..."
"Yeah right, they brought this upon us, THEY should sacrifice for it!"
"That's stupid, if they fail we're shit out of luck!"

Zuko looks at Haeyuna and asks
"Think you could speed this along? The longer we wait the farther away it gets, wherever it's going."
Haeyuna nods and turns to the crowd.
Slaming her cane on the ground a loud spark emits from it, and she bellows.
"Alright, as town elder I have decided. We're going to supply these adventurers with anything they need to fight the creature. Parsle, get some medical supplies from the inn. Gregor, check your stock then send one of your boys with a list of what you have.
"Yes ma'am!" the two men say as they run off to their respective establishments.
Turning back to the group Haeyuna says
"Alright, what are you going to need, try to save some for us, but don't feel bad if you must take it all. Stock can be replenished, lives can't. You should think of a game plan for how to defeat the creature. By the looks of it's wake, it's heading towards the Eastern Glens, across the river. It's generally a safe place, so you should meet little resistance, but be wary."
Haeyuna walks off back to the antique shop, while Parsle comes back with a sac.
"So, who's the leader here?" He asks.
Zuko and Wes points at Kairy and says "Her"
Without hesitation he gives Kairy the bag and says
"It's filled with Red-Pulp salve, Pitus Elixir, and Murks Dust, five of each."

Meanwhile, two things happen, a brown-haired girls in robes pushes past the crowd and look at the group. Her blue eyes search and find Zuko, as she walks up to him and says.
"I'm coming too." she says.
Turn to meet her, Zuko finds himself looking at Renae, a determined look in her eye as she wields her staff.
and Shivad pulls Bazyli aside so no one else can hear her, bends down, and says
"I don't think you should come, I've no idea what that thing is capable of and I don't want you to get hurt needlessly."

Hey seiromem, Bazily is still at level seven and
I have two powerstones not three.

After the man handed over the supplies to Kairy, a familiar presence got close to me: It was Renae, the girl that attended the Antique Shop. Giving the fact that we got along well in our first encounter, she came to offer her help to fight the monster.

But giving the danger of the task that we were about to face, I was worried that she might get hurt in the fight, or worse, get killed during the same. I was quite fond of Renae, and I was sure that Haeyuna and her had worked together for a long time, so I was worried for her safety.

Still, the look in her eyes suggested that she was not going to accept a "No" for an answer. So I looked at her, and I said:

"You do understand that this battle is going to be very dangerous, right? Are you ready for what's coming?"
"W-what?! No, I can do it! Shivad, I'm not going to just... abandon this at the end. It's my fault this creature is rampaging in the first place." I say to her. I think about adding a harsh "No," or "I'm going." then I realize how close the two of us have gotten in such a short time. I suppose it was the same for Wes and I, but he's not quite as motherly as Shivad has come.

It's comforting. It's been a while since someone has told me no like I'm child. I guess I am but... I think I forgot that I was.

What a fine mess. Now we're going to have to confront that digusting monster again. I had hoped that wouldn't be necessary...

I'm starting to like Haeyuna. She thinks very strategically, which is exactly what we need right now. I turn to her and ask: "Thanks for the support. Hey, could you enchant some of our weapons for us? I heard that's what you do."

Wait, when did I turn into the party leader? Oh well, I'm not going to complain. It's time to focus.

"All right, everyone, double-check your equipment now. We may not have a chance to do it again later. Leave everything we don't need behind in a safe place and replace it with useful stuff. Get weapons, armour, food, tools, anything. We'll need a boat to cross the river. We could use some more torches, too. And let's use every Power Stone we still have, they could mean the difference between life and death."

I then take a look at Renae. "So... you want to come with us? Sure, we can always use some extra power. But you are aware you could die on this mission, right? This is no game. What are your abilities, and how do you think they are going to help us fight that monster?"
Just so you know NeverSilent, in regards to Renae, I think I already asked her something like that. Just so you know.

Yeah, I know. But in the current situation, Kairy probably doesn't really care too much. :(
Sorry.
No worries! I assumed that Kairy would come here once she saw Zuko talking with Renae... ;)
"Ah, finally! This is why I came here in the first place, to defeat such a vile beast! Though I feel it's might may well surpass our own... but! There's no other choice.
"...Hm?"
I walk over to Renae.
"Ah, pardon miss, but I don't think it'd be a good idea for you to come. I'm sure you know how dangerous this will likely be, and while extra help would be, ah, helpful... it's simply too dangerous! I'm tempted to tell everyone else to stay here while I go and fight it alone, you see. I mean, the others, their lives would be at risk! I, how do I say it... I don't want anyone here to die, and that terror, it seems like the sort of beast who would be QUITE adept at killing. But, I know I can't defeat it alone, and I know the others likely won't be swayed if I try to convince them not to go. So, I'll just have to go in and do my best to protect them, won't I? ...What was I talking about agai- ohright right. I'll already have to do my best to protect everyone else, and while your assistance is appreciated... I fear I won't be able to protect all of you. I know you want to help us, but please, stay here. I'm sorry, really." I look over to Bazyli and Shivad, and wonder if I should at least tell Bazyli to stay...

With that done... "I don't expect anyone to have these, but... would any of you have some, what were they called, Drives? They're little things that go inside this compartment in my Dunnen Chestplate? No? I'm guessing not."

(I feel my dialogue, particularly the conversation with Renae, is a bit... jerky or clumsy or SOMETHING like that. The specific word I'm looking for to describe it escapes my mind (Ooh, disjointed? is that it? I mean, I did WANT it to sound like that a bit, since Wes doesn't exactly have a way with words, but I feel it may be TOO much). Is it just me? Does it sound okay?)
Huh, that's funny, we're outside the tomb.

And if we are outside, then, why I'm still here, in this god's forsaken town?
I have some money, I could just run and they will never be able to catch me...
It's way less money than what I expected, but still I could leave and end this,
I mean, I never came here to fight an evil monster! This was never part of my plan!
*Sigh* I should just start running...
Running...feels like I done that since forever.

I guess that's why I'm still here, I'm just tired of running.
Ha, I should stop wasting time.

"Hey Wes you should use this powerstones, give one to Bazily and you use
the other one."

After saying that, I'll find a place were to leave this Log
and the Ferall Pelt.

Because I don't need them right now...I think.

Hey, that's some neat character development you have there, JJJ. I like it!

Wes, I don't think there's anything wrong with your dialogue. Our characters are in a pretty stressful situation right now. Kairy for example reacts to that with her ruthless efficiency, while Wes becomes even more scatterbrained and protective. In my opinion, it totally fits his character.

--------------

"Wes, seriously, you need to shut up. We're a group of capable fighters and you're not the only one with a job to do. And the more people we are, the better we can support and complement each other. Leaving someone who wants to help behind would actually just weaken the group and make us more likely to get killed.
We can only beat that monster if we're a team, our own small army. So stop being such an over-protective chump and have some faith in the abilities of your allies, got it?
Besides, we have another Paladin on our side, in case you've forgotten."

(Uh, that was really kind of mean. I feel a bit bad about this piece of dialogue...)
"What?! S-shut up?? But, she- it's dangerous... and, um..."

She's right, I need to calm down and think. The more allies the better, and as she said, we DO have another Paladin with us. And my allies certainly are capable in combat... did I really forget about that? *sigh*

"I suppose you... may be right. I just... I worry." I look over to Renae. "If you insist on coming, I won't stop you. But, as Kairy already asked, what CAN you do to help us? Do you know any magic? Offensive spells would be nice, but any healing spells would be even better! My healing has an annoying tendency to fail at the worst of times, you see. Or perhaps you are more offensively inclined? Pardon me for saying this, but you don't really look like the type. Well, anyway... Furiera!" I then turn towards Furiera. "If you would, please assist me in keeping everyone safe and defeating that menace! And... here." I hand her one of Razuna's Power Stones. "If the others are fine with it, I think it would be wise for you and I to both use one of these! Bazyli, you should have this other one!"

I'll go ahead and drop my Valkinite Ore and Log anywhere. Why was I carrying a Log around anyway? (Also, I think being kind of mean is probably the best way to get Wes to stop doing... well, what he was doing. Feel free to continue the meanness!)

(Uh, that was really kind of mean. I feel a bit bad about this piece of dialogue...)

Maybe, but don't worry NeverSilent, you already said that Kairy and the characters are in a stressful situation right now, so it may be ok. And if you still feel bad about that line of dialogue, there's always the "Edit" button! :)

Guess we only have to wait until seiromem posts the next scenario. Just take in account that I was the first one to ask Renae!

...Please? :(
