So, is Furiera asleep still? If so, I'll go over to her quickly and wake her up and tell her about the sudden situation, while of course protecting her from attacks while I do so.
I was in a bad mood already. Those beasts didn't improve it, and they'll know it!

"Oooh, you beasts are SO going to regret having woke me up!" Zuko growls grumpily as he swiftly strikes the first Ape-Wolves to come near him. 2!
Releasing the slash horizontally, one Ape-Wolf ducks it, and the other jumps it!
Shivad sends an icicle, skewering them both before they can attack Zuko.
One Ape-wolf is about to jump Shivad when Kairy, in a rather dismal mood, slams the axe into it's skull 1!
The hatchet shatters and the ape-wolf is unharmed, it slams kairy in the chest and sends her back a few feet. It's about to grab Shivad, who would turn around too late, when Razuna casts Aura Burst on it! 4!
A Forceful projection of Razuna slams against the beast and it's send rolling.
One Ape-Wolf tries to take Razuna from the side 2! and slams his in his side.
He's sent sprawling and lands by Shivad's feet. The Ape-Wolves have slowed their approach and now circle the four cautiously. Razuna and Kairy stand up, winded, while Zuko sits up, wheezing as his ribs are bruised.
While all this happens, Wes tries to wake up Fureira, who is still asleep.
"Wake up Fureira! Hurry! Fureira!"
After a bit of jostling Fureira finally opens her eyes.
"Ugh, come on! I'm sleeping!" She starts to turn away from Wes when he says
"We're under attack! Wake up and help us!"
Fureira then sits up abruptly and wipes the sleep out of her eyes. Wes drags her to her feet and pulls out his broadshield & sword. Fureira readies her chakrams and they both climb out of the rut.
They see at least nine Ape-wolves, 10 feet away from everybody and pacing in an arc, waiting for an opportunity.
"We shouldn't wait for them to attack us!" Fureira says urgently.
"Actually, we should, it's easier to react to their attack than to try and initiate our own in this darkness." Shivad Argues.

I grab and load my crossbow while trying to keep an eye on the movement of the ape-wolves. I also attempt to stay behind Wes as much as possible, in case we get attacked earlier than I anticipated.

Ah, seiromem: You forgot to add the Plate-Scale armor I equipped in the inventory, so you should probably check if you didn't forgot someone's else equipment.

I'll try to position myself in the front of the party without aggravating the wolves. I'll take a defensive stance and be ready for any attacks.

"Gourd, Use ominous Caw!" Razuna commands, and Gourd Caws ominously!

To no effect! Razuna then positions himself so that Wes is between him and the wolves while Wes pulls out his broadshield and attempts to be ready for anything.
Kairy takes out a Quartzine Bolt, and 3! loads it in her crossbow.
The Ape-Wolves Charge! The go in a wide arc and encircle the party! Shivad is attacked, but she defends herself with an Ice Blast, freezing the two assailants solid! Three Ape-Wolves charge at Wes! 3!
They all bash at his shield, but Wes holds his ground, and pushes them back, staggering them. Razuna jumps out from behind Wes and attacks the one on the left! 6! He lunges with his gladius and pierces the beast's hide, killing it instantly.
However Razuna is over-extended, and a lurking Ape-Wolf lunges at him! 4!
Razuna manages to parry the Ape-Wolf's attack as he steps back. Five Ape-Wolves attack Zuko and Fureira at once! Fureira launches her chakrams at the mass and tears right through two, which fall to the ground and writhe as their cut bursts into flames. The Chakrams loop back, but the remaining three Ape-Wolves duck it and launch their arms at them both! 4!
Zuko manages to block one's blow, and side-steps another while Fureira leaps back a few feet, dodging the crushing blow of another Ape-Wolf.
Kairy manages to avoid conflict with two wolves by getting near Wes. Shivad creates a wall of ice, blocking their movement.

Bazyli's mind goes into a haze as he begins to relive a memory of the Highlander's.
In the body of a black Draceloid, around 8 feet tall and standing, his wings outstretched in a circular onyx room. The windows let in a dim red light with the occasion flash followed by the sound of an explosion. The sky is red with sunset as the Draceloid draws his Lacerator. From the steps in the back of the onyx room a group of what looks like warriors emerges, but their visages are blurred to the point of being unrecognizable.
"So you've followed me even here, to the Demon Realm!"
Bazyli feels the black Draceloid say this, and hears but does not understand a response from one of those who entered through the stairs. The black Draceloid's response to it is also not understood.
"I thought my Pixie hosts would allow me to hide here, but it seems that is not the case. You've waged war through here and now wish to finish me. Do it if you can!"
The Draceloid then lets out a bellow of black fire from it's mouth, and it envelopes Bazyli's vision until he see's nothing. Bazyli exits the memory and sees through his eyes once more. Again the same picture of the charred creature's remains. Bazyli again covers his mind as the highlander leads another attempt to probe his memory.

seiromem, I think I already said it before, but you got wrong my armor (and possibly someone's else equipment) in the inventory.
"That's strange. You don't seem to have full control, Higlander. You can't even read my every thought. I guess I'll have to think it really hard... I'm filthy. If you want me to stop resisting so hard, let's find a river for me to clean myself. I only need a few minutes to clean myself and I'll give in."
I wait until I or one of my allies is in immediate danger of taking a hit, and only then I will fire my crossbow at the respective Ape-Wolf.
I proceed to throw a ball of Dark Fire to the closest group of Ape-Wolves.

I sorta agree that we shouldn't waste our attacks and save them for Anathema but... we still have to find Bazyli. And THEN go find the Anathema. I think enough time'll pass so that most our skills will return when we finally go fight it. (Oh plus I want to attack something. Man why did I pick a Tank class when I want to attack things so much)
