Yes, that is exactly right.

Unless you have a role that is intrinsically detrimental to town, like a timebomb or something that makes town instantly lose if you are alive after x days or something, there is no situation in which you should ever self-hammer as town. None at all.

There is a lot of information in a hammervote, which you take away by self-hammering. You are the only person who knows for sure whether you're town or not. I obviously don't believe you are, but assuming you are, self-hammering would mean you choosing a 100% certainty town lynch over a nolynch.
I hardly need to explain that a nolynch is better than a 100% certainty town lynch.

Therefore self-hammering is something no townie should ever do.

If we lynched seiromem and he turned up town, I WOULD mod-kill myself. I PROMISE (granted, I suppose promises don't mean much on the internet but still). Besides, if I DIDN'T mod-kill myself upon seiromem turning town, y'all would probs lynch me anyway.

Also, if you're talking about hammer-voting myself, well, I think the above situation (everyone lynching me the next day) would happen then too. Really, I AM trying to help town here.

Well, okay then. I don't think no-lynching is a good idea, so why don't we substitute it with a seiromem lynch? My "kill seiromem then modkill myself if he's town" idea seems like the best idea so far to me. Of course I doubt anyone's gonna go along with it... but I should still try, shouldn't I? I think my plan's the best for town.

Ebeth! When you finish reading up on what's happened so far, tell me what you think we should do: lynch me, or go with the seiromem lynching plan?

I think Ebeth voted for Liberty though, and she also voiced suspicion along with the rest of us, while Marrend wasn't sure. At this point, I don't know what conclusions to draw anymore.

Okay wes vs. seiromem

So about wes being iffy on the Liberty vote he did the same thing with PA.

So either he's covering his tracks well or it really just is his personality. What makes me think he is town is the fact that he was iffy on both actually. One does not lose a mafia game bc they didn't throw their teammates under the bus and then not throw their teammates under the bus in the next game.

The "lynch me, lynch me" thing is throwing me off a bit. Its definitely not something you want to do if you're town. But then again Unity did it as well and she turned up town.

At this point I'm sorta thinking that the weirdness in wes's posts is just wes being wes. But then again...

Seiromem is confusing the heck out of me. He keeps changing his "master" plan like every 5 minutes.

seiromem is the more likely bet on that front, and that's just what makes me hesitate: If he is mafia he's doing a terrible job. He tried to get rid of my bulletproof ability. Once done, he said he changed his mind and reconsidered my being mafia. Then he goes off into some non-nonsensical plan and gives no reasons for any of it, so none of the actions line up to any town benefit that I can see. Plus there's not a lot of content that points to him being town. He's really been staying under the radar somewhat, possibly as a result of Happy being his body-double. But now he's jumping into the fray headfirst with no rhyme or reason to any of the points in this plan of his. Its so overtly mafia-like I have to question it.

The issue is that if we lynch seiromem we lose Happy...

At this point I don't like either on more than the other in terms of scumminess, if either one is town the are both also equally confusing but seiromem has been confusing me personally a little bit more.

Would anyone who is not either of them mind doing a quick pros and cons of voting for each? I'm worried I missed stuff on my read throughs and I want to have all the information I can before casting a vote.
