To clarify, I never said I was convinced NoLynch is the right decisión (I am not convinced of anything yet), as denoted by my Lynch on MKing, just that I found you confusing so far.
Sure, well I'll gladly explain it in a bit more detail then.
So our lynching does come at an additional risk, right.
But at the same time, every night, the Assassin has a chance hit the Tenkai star and win the game out of nowhere. Also, given the proportion of the teams, it's likely that the Assassin (and other non-towns) has/have some very powerful Night actions.
Combine these factors, and it looks like we're under quite some time-pressure to kill the Assassin before he/she get's too many chances.
So that's why I think it's the least risky option to just take every lynch opportunity we have (although, admittedly it's still risky).

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Cave_Dog, the guy everyone is telling me to ignore
I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of actual play Cave is performing this day, what with his general day 1 demeanor. He hasn't even made a serious fakeclaim yet. Feel free to unignore him.
It balances quite well if someone can shield the Tenkai without knowing who he or she is. And such a case, nolynch can become very attractive...especially as we don't know who the Tenkai star is.
Basically, we have a 1/20 chance of lynching the assassin and a 1/20 chance of lynching the Tenkai star. As far as we know, nobody's protecting the assassin. But there are people trying to protect the target. PA, your breakdown of the odds is counterintuitive. You're basically telling us that it's better to risk lynching the target than to play cool and try and find the assassin.

Yes, Cave Dog does seem to be making rational statements, doesn't he? This was something I was told to watch out for.
You know what, pianotm is right. We _may end up lynching a townie but we also have chances of killing the assassin too. Besides, the assassin has the advantage of night kills but we don't, so No Lynch is definetly NOT an option.
As for who to lynch, I have only suspicions of one person, I might be wrong, but there's just something wrong about his posts that I can't ignore. Even if it is his normal attitude, there's still the chance that he's taking advantage of his attitude to make us not to suspect him. In conclusion, it's a long shot, but I'm going to do this:
#Lynch CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK

1) pianotm is right in trying to encourage a nolynch.
2) we should lynch cave_dog

If CAVE_DOG's playing differently than MAYBE HE'S MAFIA
With regards to no-lynching, while it's true that the assassin would still increasingly get lucky, hopefully these items or whatever that will come into play could help turn things in our favour, no? This doesn't seem like a game where we're simply relying on our roles (something that has been demonstrated to be a bad idea, as Townies usually have the worst luck when it comes to keeping useful roles alive).

The thing is it's as risky to just mislynch and kill the assassin by mistake.

No no no no no...there are townies with skills, too. Although, thank you for bringing it back to a tie.
Oh, yeah... I forgot that...
So then what do we do? Because it looks like this is going nowhere, I mean, I don't think the assassin is just going to slip up that easily...

4. yellow magic is apparently 'confirmed town' or some horseshitauthor=ivoryjonesauthor=Ilan14Wait a minute! Ivory didn't said anything about YM, and CAVE_DOG just accused her of that out of nowhere. That wouldn't make CAVE_DOG look suspicious?
Are you talking about me? I'm a she.
author=Jeroen_Sol
Did she actually say yellow magic was confirmed town? I don't remember that.
I did not say that.author=ivoryjones
He just hates YM. And now's he's transparently trying to provoke me, obviously. Way to kill 2 birds with one stone.author=Ebeth
Yeah ivory never said anything about Yellow Magic.
author=Jeroen_Sol
I don't see her claiming to do a thing and then not doing it in her post history, though.
I guess she said she was at school and therefore couldn't type up huge walls of text? I guess CAVE is assuming she has free time now and should be typing walls of text?? There's not really anything to be typing walls of text about yet though honestly.
what hte fuck is wrong with you clods. nowhere in any post did i made, did i say that ivory said ym was confirmed town. it was implied that since he was 'confirmed town' (THIS IS A JOKE !!!!!!!!! *SIREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*) I would have to vote someone else.
Okay, without even having to go back and read, I know Cave Dog is telling the truth there. He never confirmed YM as town. That was PA. He said that since YM signed up while Libby was sending the PMs, that would mean Libby had to add roles after she had already assigned them and that meant there was no chance YM was the assassin. Libby came back and said she hadn't finished sending PMs and mixed up what she had left so anybody signing up last minute could still be anybody.
< Too lazy to go back that far and find the posts.
