Also, a small question before the game starts: Does 'town' know who it is they're protecting (and only the assassin doesn't know), or does nobody know?

Town players are in the majority. It's their objective to find and kill the assassin among them before the protected is killed. When you are Town, you don't know the alignment of any of the other players, and you'll have to find out yourself who is the assassin, and kill them by vote or night power, if you have one. Some town may know the roles of others.
sounds like a few may know who the 'king' is, but not all. if all but the assassin knew, it probably wouldnt he too hard to weed them out.

Cave is correct - roles aren't dependant on your participation. Day phases will be a few days long so as long as you participate and talk I won't have to kill you off.
And yeah, some might know who the target is but not all - that'd be too easy. XD

I'm guessing that you're going to assign us a Suikoden character, Liberty? And if it is like that, of what Suikoden game would be the characters?

Yes, I'll be assigning characters from Suikoden V. Keep in mind that just because you'll be a certain character, that doesn't mean you'll be the same Star that character is. I figured I'd make it google proof~ ;p

Can I have an emperor Mateus one with a red background? I think I was planning on joining that forum game at some point as the emperor, but for some reason, I don't think it ever happened... I do remember something about a crypt the heroes entered where they were trapped by kefka or something, and I was to join afterwards, but it never came to that...

Oh dear, you really don't have to. I didn't know the person who made them was still around, otherwise I probably wouldn't have asked. It seems like a lot of work
I don't know any good characters off the top of my head anyway. But if you can spare the time, I'll ask again later, when I think of one.
