Great! Now we need Kastor the Dragon Rider!

Oh, wait. That's a Heroes of Might and Magic II map/reference. Also, Dragon Rider isn't on the class list!

I need to hurry up and get into the team so I can die and start over as a manakete.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Jeselle can move to T7 and use a Vulnerary for now.

I see Jeselle has taken the action that I was thinking on taking, hahah :D

Joseph endorsed the move. That should be good enough, yes?

Ah, I thought he was referring to the turn before that, but that's a valid interpretation as well.

Turn 3 starts now! It is now player phase.

Terrain can impair your movement range. For instance, leaving a forest tile will cost 2 moves instead of one.

Goal: Have any blue unit seize S3.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.
5958
Garret, you should steal that soldier's vulnerary.

Jeroen_Sol, you didn't update Jeselle's HP and inventory in the unit summary.
So Red_Nova: You are cornered by two enemy units, reinforcements come in two turns and the bandit decided to attack the other village. What do we do now?

Oh, also I think now we can get gold if we sell this gem in a shop! :D

P.S. : Jeroen, did the other FE games had knives? Because as far as I remember, in Blazing Sword thieves use swords.

Thieves used knives in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, possibly other FE games.

Red_Nova is completely safe as long as he stays where he is and doesn't attack this round. Whether to heal or wait is up to you. You have limited healing items, but if you crit the enemy cavalier with your counterattack and you haven't healed, you will die.

I have an idea. It's a bit of a crazy idea, but I think it'll enable us to save the town AND keep us alive. But it's going to require some precise movements on the green's part. I hope we're allowed to talk strategy with Other units.

Strat is below

Garret needs to move to P8 and equip the Bronze Dagger. Jeselle needs to move to Q8 and then play music for Garret, giving Jeselle a little bit of XP and giving Garret gets another action. This allows them both to get out of the range of the soldier and be safe for at least one turn. This also leaves them in the forest, where they are harder to hit.

What Garret does with this action is up to him. He can steal the Vulnerary from the soldier and have a healing item, or he can place himself on the bridge to block the bandit and keep the town safe for a while. If he does the former, then it's safe to assume the bandit will ignore them both and make a beeline for the town.

Erza, you need to haul butt cheeks to the north to help out the Other units. If Garret doesn't block the bandit, then the town is lost because no one can intercept him.

Like LockeZ said, I'm safe just staying here and not attacking. Then it becomes a test of endurance because I doubt I can kill ALL the reinforcements by myself depending on how many there are. I CAN last a lot longer if I had your Vulnerary.

Another option: Erza and I both haul butt cheeks to the Other units. If Garret blocks the bandit for at least one turn, I can reach the north in two turns and hound the bandit while it moves towards the village.

That does put you at a disadvantage though, Erza, as you're quite a bit behind me, and you could be attacked by both enemy units. You DO have a Vulnerary, though, so as long as you don't attack anyone, you might be fine.

It's a big risk. Especially since we don't know what kind of reinforcements will appear in the south and where they show up. I don't recommend this plan.

These are just options. None of them look good, but this is what's laid out for us.

The bandit on L6 doesn't have a vulnerary to steal, so if you send Garret up there to block him, make sure you A) don't attack him and B) are as far as possible out of the soldier's range.

It'll buy you up to three rounds, depending how you play it. Keep in mind that enemy reinforcements will be showing up (at an unknown location) at the end of the round after this one.

Problem with your strategy: Garret can't actually move to P8. Going through the forest counts as multiple tiles. He can get to Q7 though, and Jeselle can sing to him from Q6 though. This'll end up the same as your first suggestion.

I would definitely then have Garret move onto the bridge and wait. Have him move to O6 rather than N6... that will probably let you steal the vulnerary next round.
Well, I checked, and it will take me at least 4 turns to reach the green units, but the first plan looks like our best choice. So then:

E10-WAIT

P.S. : I could give you my vulnerary if I wanted, but that would leave me with no means of healings, and apparently Jeroen_Sol made the shop unaccesible for us unless we go on a suicide march on the enemy territory. :/ Not to mention the extra turn that it would take me to reach the green units...

P.S.S. : Also, we should probably listen to what LockeZ said.
Red_Nova

Huh. I thought Garret's extra move tile would be able to get him to P8. Oh well. You're right, it'll still work.

5958
It would if forest tiles counted as 1.5 tiles like they do in Blazing Sword, but Jeroen said they counted as 2 tiles. So you can't go across two of them.

Or maybe he has it so only leaving a forest tile takes 2 tiles, and entering one only takes one tile? If so then your original idea would work, but my way will also draw the enemy soldier across the plains instead of enticing him to possibly enter the forest in chase of Jesselle. This will make it easier to steal the vulnerary from him next round.

How about pulling up what Jeroen actually says about forests, rather than guessing?

author=Jeoren_Sol
-Forest: +20% Avoid. +1 Def. Moving out of a forest tile is the equivalent of moving three tiles for cavalry units, and two tiles for all other non-flying units.

Like I said, this is going to be painful for all parties involved. I wouldn't worry too much about the enemies, though, especially the boss. Despite him being promoted, his stats actually don't look that impressive. Worst case scenario, ignore the town and try to defeat the boss.

If Garret steals a Vulnerary from the soldier before you get there, you should be able to trade for one when you rendezvous with them. Assuming you can recruit them. Plus, saving the town, defeating the enemies, fighting the boss, that's all going to take time. Time is a very finite resource I have available to me with just one healing item and no backup.

So I think you'll be all right by giving me you Vulnerary. But the choice is yours.

You should also think about what you want to do after you meet up with the others. Come back and help me out? Or go straight for the boss?
Ok, I'll give it a shot next turn. But I don't think I have any problems recruiting them, in the intro of the map, Garret and Jesselle stated that they didn't wanted help from a soldier...

...And I'm no soldier. >:)
