Okay guys: How do you think I should proceed now?

That soldier on the bridge has sworn an oath to kill me and Jeselle so I would very much like for him to die.
There's that town over on the other side of the river that one of you scrawny fighters could probably enter without an angry mob coming to kill you. And I'll get that chest on the island once everything dies down.
Trying to talk sense into Liberty is a priority but I dunno if we should do it now and maybe it working, or if we should take care of that other red dude first. On the enemy phase he'll probably press the attack. But if we can recruit Liberty then she could take him at full health.

Even with my vulnerary, I'm going to die before I kill that soldier. He has a lance, I have a sword, and he just took half of my HP! I think I should run, make Jesselle give me an extra turn, run more, and then wait until I'm with the others to fight it.

You can hit the guy for about 3 damage. And I think you're fast enough that you attack him twice on your round.
Use your vulnerary. Attack him for 6 damage. You'll take 9 damage in a counterattack, Jeselle will give you a second turn, and then you'll kill the soldier.
The only way to botch it is if you miss. But you've got a good hit rate so you only will if you suck.

EDIT: I would still recommend staying there to hold down the fort. Then next move, cheese it out of there. We really need Liberty with us so I'd say we should focus on allying her.

Actually, if Jesselle uses all of her steps, the soldier won't be able to attack anyone. Besides, I think that extra attack I only got it because of luck, and against a lance I have less chances of hitting the enemy. So I'm still not sure about that...

If Jeselle positions herself halfway between us all, we can have it so either Kalas or Lydia (when she if no longer red) can come and save you on the next turn if everything works out well.
So you agree with my plan or not? Because we can do what you said too if I ran away to where Kalas is...
You move 5 spaces. The soldier moves 5 spaces. He'd be able to catch right up with you and attack you anyway. Just use a vulnerary and stay there. I'd much rather he be bottlenecked on the bridge than able to freely move.

I move 5 spaces. Jeselle moves 5 spaces and uses Play on me. I move other 5 spaces. And the soldier moves 5 spaces and he can't reach anyone.

Just to clear it up, you have 4 speed higher than the soldier, so you will ALWAYS double up on him when attacking. The problem does remain that you can't tank those hits for very long
I think IIan's plan is the best. He had to get over there just to keep Garret and Jeselle from getting skewered, which would have happened pretty easily. Now that that's done, you all need to distance yourselves.
So if Erza moves to G6, then Jeselle moves to F6 and plays, Erza can move out of the soldiers movements range. The problem is, of course, that the soldier will almost certainly target Jeselle right after that. However, IF I can recruit Lyria this turn, we can both reach the soldier when it advances on you guys easily.
I'm gonna try to recruit Liberty, and we'll go from there.
