Not at the point where there's any gameplay outside of autobattle and calling other players at boss fights. However, I can see why people love this game now. It starts idly, digging roots, then suddenly you have to pay attention, and it is pretty solid when you do.
With Ming-Wu as a healer, should I bother with magic? Like elemental BM stuff, or focus on more attacker classes?

Attackers are easier to get into, I feel, at least at the intermediate level. Eventually DEF gets high enough that you pretty much need a "boostga" (aoe attack buff) of some kind to really feel it working. I would focus on attackers for now while getting the orbs that let you start making -aga spells for the future.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The beginning of the game was WAY better at first when friend summons didn't exist yet. I wish the game somehow limited friend summons for low level players, because they are functionally equivalent to replacing the first 30-40 dungeons with egg timers that make you wait 60 seconds and then start the next egg timer.
I would recommend not using friend summons until you start doing elite dungeons. You'll enjoy it more.
Early on, when you don't have enough abilities, the main use of magic is going to be that a lot of bosses give you bonus medals for conditions like "Exploit the boss's weakness to fire attacks." Mages are not very good until later since they have to spend a lot of battles just defending. Once you have a couple of magic spells honed up to rank 5, though, you can cast them 10 times each and mages become pretty sweet.

All my dudes have gold items, and Firion is lvl 50. Most lv 20-30. I haven't bothered with friend summons in a few days. The egg timer is an accurate description. Without them and the ff9 event, I would probably be paying attention in storymode.
I normally do daily dungeons and the first half of events while watching youtube videos, to be honest.

Second FF10-2 banner looks cool. Auron's weapon in particular looks like it has a very powerful limit break. Because I skipped the second FF2 banner, that does give me some flexibility on how I can spend my mythril and my FF10 gear is beginning to fall behind a tad. Though, I was looking at doing an extra SSB pull. We'll see if I'm overcome by impulse or not. First FF10-2 banner looks pretty shitty to me, though, including Yuna's burst.
Tangent: Check out the new Brass de Bravo 2 album. Already downloaded my copy and it's better than the first one, which was still pretty dope.

FF9 has been good, as was FF3. I agree about 5&6.
But, it's the gameplay I'm after.

Honestly, FF5 mobile isn't too bad if you can get past the character sprites and tile work. The monster sprites are excellent and it plays fine. The PC port of it has some unfortunate quirks with the controls and UI, though. I've been itching to replay FF9 for the last four months or so, but keep waiting for it to hit PC... my patience is reaching its end, though, so it needs to happen soon.
Jeez, another 50 free mithril. That means the last three lucky draws were more or less free. Suspiciously generous for a bloodsucking mobile game company!
The free dagger we got is pretty great. High attack power for a shared dagger, and will be useful for tomorrow's FF10 event.

These motherfucking chimera need to just stop taking turns at the start of the battle and focussing a character down before I get protectga and shellga up. They also need to stop spamming Blaze and just fall for Drawtaliate. Seriously, this is not 110 difficulty.
Jeroen, they went down pretty fast for me but they did also hit quite hard, even with 3 RS armors equipped. I wonder if a future SSB for somebody will be an instant wall... a lot of people would love that, I'm sure. Do you have Yukikaze? If not, I recommend Yukikaze.
Sephiroth and I will take care of the Gigases on Sunday (in case I get Aurochs Reels from Yuna banner). I cleared Phantom Train (easy) in Nightmare dungeons, and will try to finish both them and Yuna's event before the orbfest changes again.
I'm only gonna pull wiht myth 1-2 times on Yuna's banner depending on how strong I am tomorrow. I realllly don't need FFX synergy, but... ... no myth pulls on banner 2 though, since I already have Auron/Lulu relics.
I think I can R2 Flashing Blade too, with the major ice orbs from the FF2 bonus battles. I'll be back to having no power orbs (I upgraded a few breakdowns/machinist shots/yukikaze with orbfest winnings), but I think it's worth it. That skill does WORK with an RS weapon.

First katana and first SSB.
For the chimera, don't forget you can also Stop them, and there's even a stop dance to help you out with that. Also, don't underestimate defensive accessories.
I've done 3/5 of the nightmare gate encounters. I'll do the rest tomorrow.
Nevermind. Didn't realize Ultima Buster would only cost one stamina, so I was able to do it now. Took several tries to figure it out and my group was still sub-optimal, but I'll post more about it tomorrow. Just don't bring low rarity spells thinking you can draw out the mana orb phase--you will not do enough damage.

Didn't get Arise, but at least I got Firion's crystal.

Zidane is my main thief, and I primarily use him for Steal Power, so a Mug Powerga is definitely very useful. :)

Nice! I think it's a +50% to the user too (matching Scream/Shout from Ramza). Double-check on reddit, I guess.
I wonder if you could actually master the Chimarae with that SSB? Bring a wall RW, Zidane, your best healer (preferably with a haste RM), and as much AoE damage as possible and/or Stoppers. (Vanille and Hope are great Stoppers because her high Mind makes it last way longer than Lulu/Terra/Vivi/etc -- absolutely don't use Kefka, he is shit at status effects!)
I did one more single pull on banner 1 because I'm so tepid about banners 3/4... got Lullaby Rod!!!!! Now I don't have to pull on FFX banners (but I'm still waiting to do gigases in case of that 1.2% chance I roll Aurochs Reels on my 100 gem pull tonight).
