@wildwes If it were easy to explain or quantify, I'd have tried to make a case on you by now. Still, let me point out that if you were town, you would be a much more active scumhunter. That you weren't really doing so day one is of no consequence, but here are at day two, and the only helpful scumhunters have been Liberty, LockeZ, and YellowMagic, and may I point out that they have all three been under suspicion to one degree or another, so they've been taking risks at being active. I've noticed YM's activity has fallen somewhat. Perhaps he notices that this extremely tight game is prime conditions for a bandwagon to start on anyone who says the wrong thing. Whereas you, wildwes, have made speculative posts that have appeared somewhat informative but upon inspection, have been entirely pointless. In retrospect, though you have been posting regularly, I add you to the ranks of Majoracanking, Ratty, and Dudesoft. I don't know Ratty's playstyle. MK, and Dudes have a history of low activity in mafia. You, on the other hand, this isn't like you. People have screamed "meta" before but the truth is that one of the common scum tells is a change in play. You've been much more helpful in other games. Congratulations, you've convinced me to open a case on you, and with us being more than halfway through day 2 with still no useful information on the board, one would think our crew of players would become a bit more active. Again, I don't know about Ratty, this is expected for MK (who is known to be shy), and Dudes (who is often very busy at the best of times), but with the current situation being what it is, you have a history of joining the discussion. ^To be fair, he has a point. I haven't exactly been calling people out beyond saying that we should be looking at lurkers. So, here's my opinion on people at the moment.
Cave - My Cavedar is telling me he's probably vigilante. Very likely town. He and puds came up with the idea about using her protection on the detective and it was a sound plan til it was realised that she doesn't protect from night kills, only nightly powers.
YM - Has talked a lot and brought up some bits of information but I'm still a bit iffy about him.
Ratty - Has been pretty quiet except to poke his head up and chime in every now and then. Could definitely afford to talk more and I'd like to hear his own opinions on happenings. I'm wary.
LockeZ - Has been actively taking part in discussions and despite a few points where I felt he might be suspicious (and am still keeping an open mind about) does give off a town vibe.
wildwes - Not sure about. He hasn't talked enough for me to get a good read but there are some things he's said that has made me question his alignment. I'm leaning towards suspicious.
Dudesoft - I understand he's busy but that doesn't mean he can't talk a little more often. Silence can be mafia's strongest weapon and combine that with someone who has legit reasons for not talking much, well it makes for a combo that is suspicious. Honestly, I'm not sure but I'm being wary.
MajoracanKing - Not sure. He seems similar to his standard play but then his standard play was newbie play and I feel like he should have improved a bit by now. I just don't trust him.
Mr_SuNa - Second verse, much like the first - as with Majora, there's something I don't trust. Part of it is his still acting like a nub even though he's been in a few games now.
Honestly, the only people I trust are puds, piano and cave - and cave only because my cave-dar tells me to (again, I understand if no-one cares about that. Gut feelings can't be something that others rely on.)
My top picks for mafia are Suna, Majora, Dudes and wes. That said, with no conversations going on it's hard to pick up much.

Cave, Liberty has been more helpful than you. I'll at admit, you're the one that put wildwes on the radar. I didn't see it at the time, but I kept it in mind, and it's starting to build up the more I observe him. You've been accusing Liberty constantly, but unlike wildwes, she has continually helped. She's given advice, she's put herself at risk, she kept me from confusing LockeZ' actions. You also don't seem to realize that I have never dismissed your comments on Liberty. To date, the only scum claim you've made a good case on is LockeZ. For wildwes and Liberty, Puddor and I have had to rely on our own observations because despite our entreaties, you refuse to make your case for either of them. You quoted a handful of posts and basically said, "WOULD SHE SAY THIS IF SHE WEREN'T SCUM?" Well, you know what? I don't know! Would she? Instead of demanding that everyone read your mind, why don't you tell us why? In this game, you're not acting off the wall, or making bizarre, alternate reality bending comments, but your playstyle continues to be misdirection and confusion. Let's put it in a nutshell. Whether you're playing scum or town, you are a serial killer. Your preferred approach is to hang them all and let the moderator sort them out.

literally all her posts are a bunch of words that say nothing with a fake aggressive tone adopted for no reason. occasionally she plays 'mafia mom' by explaining really obvious things in lieu of actually, playing the game, mafia. she's adopted views on players (ym and I, for instance) and then reversed them for seemingly no reason, but i suppose no reason was ever given for her reads in the first place.
i could quote all these things and then say "example of this happening" over an dover again but i would prefer if you reread the thread with this perspective in mind or just acquiesced and voted her

Oh yes, Cave, you are definitely town. "Vote because I said to," is the quintessential Cavism. I have read through the thread. I've read all of her posts. I've read every post, over and over and over again. Perhaps I should tell you I've never played with Liberty. I don't know her play style, but she certainly hasn't been useless.
And you still haven't made a case. You've done the same thing. You've posted a quote and shouted, "WOULD SHE SAY THIS IF SHE WASN'T SCUM?" One final plea. Please say something useful, anything?

Also, as far as I know, you're supposed to be allowed to change your mind in this game or something? You know, it's how the game is supposed to be played - suspect one person, then reconsider. I don't understand people who are all "I'm SURE this person is mafia even though I have no clues and the things they've said/done after one suspicious point makes them look more like town or something I'll never change my mind because god forbid I was wrong on my first GUESS!!!" It's fucking stupid to consider people would never change their minds when presented with new information. Seriously. :/
As for my so-called 'fake aggression', it is real. Not that you'll believe that but honestly? Don't really care if you do or don't. I've been pissed off a lot lately and I'm finding mafia to be a better place to vent than in the normal forums (though it's leaked through a bit prior to this topic.)
As for explaining things - see the aggression thing. Getting sick of people not seeing the simple shit so pointing it out is a thing to do instead of calling everyone morons again (which I felt guilty about after the fact and really wanted to edit out but seriously! We have that argument every bloody time and it gets us nowhere, especially in a game like this one where numbers are important! >.< )
And, uh, yeah, there are no sureties. Of course I'm leaving things open when listing my readings because there's no way to be sure if someone is scum or not. I listed the people I'm most suspicious of, and why, but it's impossible to be sure. And I did say I think LockeZ is town. Possibly. That opinion and others are subject to change... you know, revising your ideas/thoughts when new information comes around? Mafia 101 basic shit? Geez.

Well, no surprise that Cave is yelling accusations on his first post. Frankly, he either KNOWS that YM is mafia (which he would only know if he were mafia himself) or is making a fake play.
Now, Cave has been known to throw hints out early and tell everyone what he is. If he is doing this then it's that he and YM are mafia and he's trying to cover that base by 'laying a false trail' that people are unlikely to follow.
Whatever the case, I'm gonna call he and YM possibly both being mafia.
