DUDE

Majoracan did you seriously
ughhhhhhh
It's good that people know I'm town but it doesn't matter cuz mafia's just gonna kill me now cuz know they know what my role is
I think I'm gonna reread everything and post what I think of people tomorrow, the day doesn't end for like another 24 hours right?

So...essentially your Caesar cipher code was not alluding to your role, but Wes's?

...and you're also claiming that Isrieri made 1/4 of the players in this mafia game able to investigate other people?

I'm more confused about this then I should be. I was alluding to myself... I probably effed up.

MK, investigative skills are not foolproof. We have the mafia framer, who can make a townie appear to be scum to townie. Mafia Mastermind can hide his identity so that he appears to be town. So not only might you be wrong about wes, but wes may be the mastermind. Then again, you could both be mafia with you making a role claim to look legit.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Just so we're all on the same page here: Majora claims in this post to be the "investigator," and to have discovered that wes is town and that there is a vigilante. The only possible interpretation being that wes is the vigilante and Majora is the reporter. Who somehow thought it would be a good idea to out someone else's role without their permission. In white text.

I did say he was a bad player, right?

I hope you realize that if you are indeed town, you-- for the lack of a better term-- have fucked us up the ass, but anyway.

Given you've revealed not only the method in which you encoded the message, but the white text you used to hide it, the mafia members know just as well as I do what the contents of the message was. There was nothing about an investigative role mentioned.

Provided this isn't anything more than an elaborate ruse to distract us from your nature as mafia, you've just gotten both yourself and another town member killed. You'll be first.
OH piano, no need to worry about me being the mastermind, you'll see I'm not when I get killed tonight.

Wait... what if mafia intentionally DOESN'T kill me to bring suspicion to me and make y'all waste a lynch by lynching me? BUt would they risk that, since I can possibly kill one of them? But, they know I could accidentally pick the wrong person instead of one of them so...
ughhhhhhhhh
Oh, do you really think Majora will be first? His investigative power isn't terribly useful, with how easy it is to mislead an investigative power in this game, framer and mastermind and all. Then again, if they don't target me for reasons I've stated above, maybe they'll go for him instead? I don't knowwww

I wouldn't expect the mastermind to hide his identity on day one. Plus the mafia killed someone right? can't look innocent and kill at the same time.

Dude, I have effed up so much I should thank you for giving me enough credit to come up with that. XD We need to focus on other people now.

Wes, Majoracan will be the next to die unless the mafia intends to frame him as mafia. He's our last mortal investigator...provided that he is indeed town.

I do want to draw attention to the numbers fact I pointed out earlier-- if there is a reporter on hand, one quarter of the entire player base has the ability to investigate others. Even with Ilan dead, the number stands, and given I'm immortal, it seems unrealistic.
...when I said you should drop hints I didn't mean like that...

What I want to know is why you're dropping this information now, when you're not in danger? You also said you wouldn't out the other person in the equation unless it looked like they were going to be lynched but I don't see anyone close to getting lynched yet. Like, why?

Frankly, it seems more like you're trying to set up a claim for yourself, but badly. I find it suspicious, to say the least. Need I remind you that just because you say something about yourself/another doesn't mean it's the truth.

But there is also the fact that what you've just done was such a hugely stupid bungle that I'd be surprised if you were scum at this point.

So either Majora is a fucking idiot, or he's brilliant at pretending to be a fucking idiot, and both he and Wes are scum. There's evidence pointing toward both situations.

Or of course there could be a mafia investigator which would suck butts I guess
Also, I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone of this statement in the OP:

Killers are chosen from among the citizens after the other roles are determined.

Meaning that it's very possible that the Reporter could be Mafia-aligned.

Also, if we do have a vigilante, who's to say that they weren't turned last night and used their one-shot to kill Ilan?

Actually, if that isn't the case, it leads me to speculate that perhaps mafia members this time around aren't very experienced as killing someone instead of turning them is a stupid move, especially in a numbers' game like this one. We could probably take that to mean that mafia are newbs, perhaps.

All things to consider.

Well, I guess it's time to commission two coffins before nightfall. :P
I'm wondering if I should try using my vigilante powers while I still can, but I don't know if anyone's suspicious enough for that yet. Guess there's not much to do but reread everything tomorrow when I wake up and make a decision from there.

That's the skinny of it, yeah.

We don't have time for these games unless we're going for two nolynches in a row, and I think that is definitely a bad idea. MK's incredibly awkward roleclaim could easily be scum covering for each other, but wildwes' reaction to it is decidedly "not scum". So I'm going to assume they're town aligned for the moment.

Going back over the thread, one thing that really stood out to me was the overall participation of YM. He's surprisingly quiet...alarmingly quiet. He very rarely posts unless he's a)making a scum accusation, b)denying being scum, or c)making mysteriously vague observations. I'm still very suspicious about his interest in Ilan followed by his sudden silence. He didn't even challenge my defense of Ilan. He made a statement shrugging it off, and we didn't hear another word from about it until I voiced my suspicions at the start of this day phase. One thing, he's definitely active, but he's like the silent ninja in the corner in a fantasy RPG making pointed queries and then getting up and leaving when he gets an answer.
