CloseI looked around for about 2 hours today looking for some black/brown skinned character sets. Tried a character generator and had no luck there. If anyone has a lead they can link me I would appreciate.

I have gimp I will try that. I am pretty sure I can use the character editor to make this easy. I can't believe I didn't think of this thanks a ton.

Actually there was a kickstarter campaign to create the sort of characters you are looking for here. There are a couple of posts in the topic with links to a few non-white character sets. The ones the KS was started for won't be available until February.
Actually Porkate quote doesn't have that effect (unless it has changed very recently). You get notified of replies in a topic if you subscribe to it.

VX Ace has a character editor that lets you do white, asian, brown and black characters, so there's that.

Is it built into Vx Ace or is it a program download? Do you have a link? What about face sets.
VX Ace's Character Editor is built in, you can find it in the Tools menu right above Options and below Sound Test.
